Brain Teasers
Strange Custom
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Tissue is a very kind person. He lives in the reaches of good ol' Ontario. He likes to do his gardening, though he has a strange custom: Every once in a while, he'll pick his best tree, chop it down, and put it in a large bowl. He'll water it and give it plant food, but after a couple of weeks he burns it.
Why would he do such a thing?

Don't insult someone else's work just because YOU aren't smart enough to figure it out.I liked it....Very clever.
i thought it was for propagation purposes. i don't know ontario very well (since i'm from australia), but we have a number of trees here whose seeds will only be usable when exposed to high temperatures...i assumed that rather than risk burning the tree down in the field (where the fire could spread) he removed it and burned it safely somewhere else so he could retrieve the seeds
too easy and booring
I'm very sorry you feel that way. Thankfully, most of the readers don't agree with you.
But that wouldn't be a strange custom then...
