Doesn't have to be a one way street does it? He looks one way, see's a car coming, and waits for it. hehe. Once that one's gone by, I'd recommend checking the other way as well though kids.
Maybe it was a nighttime service, so he could see the car lights.
he was doing the right thing and crossing at a pedestrian crossing. he didn't have to look both ways, he just had to wait for the "walk" signal to light up
Unless the car was breaking the law and going the wrong way.
I thought that like most deaf people he sernse the vibrations
