Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
One year, tennis fans all over the world saw four players, Federer, Nadal, Hewitt, and Baghdatis, dominate the sport's four biggest events. These men reached either the quarterfinals, semifinals, finals, or won in each of the four Grand Slams. However, due to a glitch in the computer system, officials have lost the specific results and are depending on you to help them out! They can only provide a few facts that they remember. Can you piece together the information?
Nadal's poorest showing was in Australia.
The four tennis players are: Nadal, the Australian Open semifinalist, the U.S. Open finalist, and the Australian Open champ, who was runner-up at Wimbledon.
The player who finished in the quarters at Roland Garros (in Paris) had the same result at the U.S. Open.
Federer won the most Grand Slams.
The semifinalist in France was the quarterfinalist in England.
Hewitt didn't win any Grand Slams.
The four men are Hewitt, the French Open quarterfinalist, the French Open champion, and the U.S. Open champion.
Baghdatis managed to scrape out a win Down Under, while Nadal followed up with a win on clay.

YAY!
An ace!
Oh my... this is the first time I can ever remember missing some on a logic grid! This should have been so simple, although it was confusing. I assumed Runner Up meant finalist but I still somehow managed to mix up a couple of Federer and Bagh's placings!
Thanks for a fun teaser... I think!
Thanks for a fun teaser... I think!
I don't follow tennis, so when you say U.S. Open and there is only U.S. Champ, U.S. Final and so on one the grid, what does Aus. Open and U.S. Open mean???
I don't follow Tennis either, but "Open" pretty much means contest.
For example: "The player who finished in the quarters at Roland Garros (in Paris) had the same result at the U.S. Open." ...It means the one who finished in the French quarters also finished in the quarters in the U.S.

Great teaser! Had me googling R Garros to check out whether it was clay before I noticed the hint!
Keep on with it!
Keep on with it!
At first I thought this was too confusing. After doing another very hard one, I came back and found this wasn't so hard after all Fun and challenging
I prefer those that don't attempt to complicate the puzzle with terminology that may be unknown to the solver. Complexity should be a product hint formulation, not my limited grasp tennis terminology.
your point?
Great teaser! Somehow I managed to mark a wrong box in the grid and had to start over, but eventually figured it out. Thanks for the hint. Without it, I would never have figured out who had clay courts as I don't follow tennis. This one got my brain working and ready for the day. Keep up the good work!
Thanks!
The 2nd clue doesn't make much sense to me. Doesn't runner up mean the person who finished 2nd which would make them the finalist?
Yes.
i love these guys
Thanks again for your work, I've left comments on your teasers before. Yours are consistently challenging and FUN
