Group
These brain teasers rely on your ability to recognize groups of common attributes. For each of these puzzles you'll need to figure out why the words or letters are grouped as they are. Sometimes you will be asked to pick the odd-one-out or to place a new word into the correct group.Group
Can you calculate which word is the odd one out:
giggle, soil, bells, gobble, gosh, hole, blesses, coil
giggle, soil, bells, gobble, gosh, hole, blesses, coil
Answer
Coil as this is the only word which cannot be spelled using a calculator. For example, enter 379919 into a calculator and look at the number upside down, you can read giggle. The other words can be spelled using, 7105, 57738, 4509, 3704 and 5355378Hide Answer Show Answer

or blesses because it is the only one that dosen't start cosonent-vowel
Or gosh because it is the only one without an 'L'
That´s really creative indeed.
I got a choice between blesses, although for the wrong reason, and hole. Why hole? Number of letters in words. 6 4 5 6 4 (5) 6 4. Hole has only 4 so breaks sequence.

very cleverly worked out, but impossible to work out because of the randomness of the answer, there was really nothing to go on, silly really
It is obvious because the other words are made up of the letters: g i l b e o s h. Coil has a 'c' in it.
there should have been some knid of hint!
I cant believe people found this so fun.. there is a lack of information that would help someone leap to the conclusion.. another answer could have been gosh doesnt belong becuase it does not have the leter L.
I knew that if it wasn't gosh (only one without an 'L'), then it wasn't worth solving - I was right; absolutely nothing redeeming about the answer that makes me wish I had tried to find the "alternative".
Clever answer, but it needs a bit of creativity and imagination to see those words. Keep up the good work!
