Okay, if anybody's like me and doesn't know what "sock away" means it is to put money in a safe place. What countries use that expression? I've never heard it in Australia, has anybody else heard it in Australia? Is it some older generation thing?
In response to my own comment, I should have checked the nationality of the puzzle creator - whoops.
I figured it was sock but wasn't sure about sock away - now I understand. Thanks Fun Quiz
"sock" was the one I couldn't figure out. The others sort of jumped out at me
Thanks for a good puzzle. Clever people who think of these!

What is a beer hall?
I too had trouble with the first one, but the rest were quite easy. Another winner, Jazz.
Good teaser, but it seemed really easy. Probably having two in a row the same genre helped a lot.

I only got the soup one! Great teaser!!!!
I guess you have to be a little older than the average person on here to know what a beer hall is.

Very cute. I didn't get the 1st one, but the rest were easy.
YAY!! I got 'em all - usually not patient enough!
I only got the soup one also Great teaser though!
Not fun=need more coffee!
I suspected that #1 was sock, I had never heard of sock wind. I thought the answer was "broke" as in ankle broke, puppet broke, broke wind and broke away?? Go figure!
I thought #2 was "up" (up root, belly-up)... but beer makes more sense.
Cool!
Cool!
Haha, beer belly!
We usually spell it "draught beer," so I missed that one...
Another winner! Easy for me....says the person who has 'gotten' only two rebus's-rebi? and, maybe, 3 riddlesl.
Nice Teaser
I only missed one this time "Beer"
Beer Belly IS funny as someone said.
I'm starting too get better at these

Now that I've read the top comments I "Sock-away" money in
Canada.
Maybe it's a little old thing, people
used to hide money in a sock &
put it in the freezer. I think the
Brits do too. My Dad was English
maybe I got it from him.

This is excellent. Each is either is or near impossible, depending on whether or not you get them right.
Fun and entertaining teaser; I tried this one again and got them all.
