A Plot in Thyme
Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Amanda and four of her friends decided to grow their own herbs in the local community garden. Each person grows two different herbs in his/her plot (labeled A-E from left to right) and tends his/her plot on a different day of the week (Monday - Friday). From the info provided, determine each person's garden plot, the herbs they grow (including marjoram and rosemary), and what day they tend their plot.
1) No two plots that are tended on consecutive days are located next to each other in the garden. The initials of each herb in a plot, the day the plot is tended, and the owner of the plot are 4 different letters.
2) Amanda tends her oregano in plot A. She does not grow thyme.
3)The five plots are the one tended by Cassandra (which she tends on Thursdays), the one in which mint grows, the one tended on Tuesdays, the one in which thyme grows, and plot D.
4) Marrissa's plot is located to the immediate left of the one containing sage (which is not grown with oregano) and somewhere to the right of the one tended on Thursdays.
5) Walter's plot is located immediately between the plot tended on Thursdays (which is not plot A) and the one containing chive and dill, in that order.
6) Timmy tends his plot the day before the parsley is tended (not in plot C) and the day after the plot containing basil is tended.

Woot woot! Good one. I had to pull out the ol' pen and paper on this one.
You make the most amazingly fun LGs.
Great teaser!!
Thank You!!
Good tough one! I made the same mistake that debc1 made, and got angry at clue #2. I finally woke up and enjoyed solving it. Well done!
Excellent logic puzzle. I kick myself for not going with the "rosemary and thyme" theme from the start. Would have been good guess, and correct. Keep 'em coming. You are good!!
Nice puzzle! Not too tough, just have to think a little bit
Amazing! This was so much fun ...and...tough. Thanks for the good time.
Love logic problems, but I seem to lose the grid if I try to scroll down on the clues. What am I doing wrong?

auntiesis, not entirely sure what you mean. I know if I click on the page with the clues the window with the grid pops behind. Just click on the button at the bottom toolbar for the grid, and it should pop back up to the front waiting for your next mark.
Oy, that took me three tries. But I finally got it! WOOHOO!
Fun, tough. I like the ones that take a piece of paper and some thought. I do better drawing out the plots (took 10 min to solve). But if I use the grid, this would have taken >30 min, I'm sure.
Very good grid.
Very good grid.
Wow! Tough and good at the same time. I accidently switched sage and marjoram and realized it right before I clicked on "Answer" but even though I knew it was wrong, I was afraid to switch them because I thoguht that might screw up all my answers. Fortunately, that was all that was wrong!
I love this one, it is quite tough and I am still working on it. I think I am going to have to work my way back up to the tough ones again. It has been so long since I have done these logic-grids, that I am not in the right mind set and feel very inadequate doing them. I will let you know when I finish it though. It is still fun to figure out whose plants belong to whom.
OMG! I think my brain is fried. After the fifth time, I finally got it. Not sure how, and I don't think I could do it again. Nice job.
Beautifully done, Dream. As always, I enjoyed it very much. I saw this come up a few weeks ago, but I've been busy. I've put off doing it so I could give it my full attention, and it certainly deserved it. Very creative, very well done.
I could "really dig it" also nice play on words in the title.
