That twisted my mind - it was really easy at the end, but I just couldn't understand!! Great teaser.
Difficult. Easy, once I peeked at the answer. I didn't even get the hint. A very good teaser!
I had to think about this for a minute after seeing the answer to understand it. So he succeeded his successor before he was even succeeded. It just happened that his successor was the person he succeeded, so technically he succeeded his successor. It makes sense, but it's pretty tricky!

There's something tricky about this one. When Harrison became president, we still don't know who will be his successor. So at that time, we can't say he succeeded his own successor.
