Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Alex and Robbie are playing a game inside of an audience. Robbie is pretending to be a mind reader. Alex asks a member of the audience to pick something in the room for Robbie to guess while Robbie steps out of the room. The person says a ruler and Robbie comes back in into the room. Alex asks, "Is it the piece of paper?" Robbie says, "No." She asks, "Is it the sun?" He says, "No." She asks, "Is it the chalkboard?" He says, "No." She asks, "Is it the ruler?" He says, "Yes."
They play again. This time, the audience member chooses the baseball cap, so Alex asks, "Is it that boy's pair of jeans?" Robbie says, "Nope." She asks, "Is it the wooden floor?" He says, "No." She asks, "Is it that girl's blonde hair?" He says, "Nope." She says, "Is it the whiteboard?" He says, "No." She asks, "Is it the night sky?" He says, "Nope." She asks, "Is it the baseball cap?" He says, "Yes."
They play once more. This time, the audience member chooses the basketball. Robbie comes back. She asks, "Is it the boy's glasses?" He says, "No." She asks, "Is it that man's tuxedo?" He says "No." She asks, "Is it the basketball?" He says, "Yes."
How does Robbie know every time?

Good teaser! I didn't get it, was convinced it had something to do with it being the nth item in the list. Played with the numbers for a while but couldn't discern a pattern.

Wow. The answer was in the title, yet I still tried to come up with a pattern with the numbers. Great teaser!

I've done this! The only "magic trick" I've been successful at haha
Good one. But, those things are not always black. Chalkboards are often dark green or dark bluish-gray (slate, quite literally). The night sky is often deep, dark blue. Tuxedos can be dark blue or white.
