Not too big, or so small that you must squint
My second's been made ever since day one
Back when humanity had just begun
My whole seldom puts the meaning in doubt
Despite what a misplaced finger puts out
What am I?

Answer
typographical errorlines 1-2: These lines refer to the word "typographical". The words/letters can be made unnecessarily large, or so small such that "you must squint" in order to read them.
lines 3-4: These lines refer to human error. As the saying goes, "To err is human." We humans have been making mistakes, or errors, "ever since day one", or ever since we've been around.
lines 5-6: These lines are saying that despite the presence of a typographical error produced by an errant keystroke, the meaning of the sentence/message is usually still clear.
The title is a play on words alluding to a blood classification of "type O", which sounds like "typo", which is informal for a typographical error.
