What's the least number of chairs you would need around a table to sit four fathers, two grandfathers, and four sons?
Answer
Four. Two of the four fathers could be grandfathers and they are all definitely sons already.Hide Answer Show Answer

I am not sure of this solution. This does not seem to be correct.
the solution is correct. think of it this way. just get four old guys sitting at a table. obviously they are all sons, so that is done. now assume they have kids and gradkids (the key is that the offspring do not need to be present to satisfy the condition), so at least two are grandfathers and they are all fathers.
also it should be pointed out that there can't be less than 4 guys sitting there, otherwise it woudn't be possible to meet the 4 fatehrs condition.
I herd that one only it was with the father, grandfather and son fishing,so i knew it right away.
I heard that same one Jenna, that's the only reason I actually GET this one
i think the best answer should be 1 as that is what u need!
It took me quite a while to figure it out, but he solution seems to be CORRECT.
Why is this in the "trick" category?
because its a trick
i thought 0 chairs cuz they can all be seated without chairs.....just a thought
Um... yeah... so basically you're saying that they have all been sons at some point...
So I suppose for the old fishing riddle you answered one man? Because he HAD to be a son at some point?
Sorry, this riddle isn't up to par on wording and terms. The answer should be 6, at least.

I thought the father/son & grandfather/grandson PAIRS had to be present, in that case the answer is 6.
This one is tricky, but i got it!
