Is TWG and HTB going to be run only in the games section from now on or can it still be played in the forums?
WTB will be played in the Games section of the website. The newer automated version will take the place of the original forum game.

How do the points awarded for each game of chess relate to the player's score?

The points for chess and checkers are based on the relative positions of each player in the rankings. The closer in score you are to your opponent, the more points that game is worth.

It is unlikely that TWG or WTB will ever be played in the forums again due to the addition of these in the Games Section.

Okay i have a good game that i've played in a couple of forums before, wondering if it'll be acceptable here.
It's called the name game. And what you do is you pick a style ... say harry potter. and the person that starts the topic picks a character from that particular thing, so harry potter i could be voldemort but i keep it to myself. then everybody would post yes/no questions for me to answer until they guess who i am right. The winner gets to start a new one with any theme they want.

That almost sounds like 20 questions. Which used to be played in the forums somewhere (got to go to work here in about 5 mins or so, I don't have time to look it up.)
The game IIRC was a hit for a while, but I think some lost interest.

Anyways, would it permissable to hold a chess tournament? Trisket used to organize this but he hasn't logged in 6 months+. The old ones he has hosted are now certainly deleted...
