I'm curious... exactly what is the Debate topic? If the goal is simply for everyone to say what their political stance is and why, then that could almost be a general discussion topic. Almost. Simply for the fact that it is too broad, there are any number of ways a "debate" of this nature could turn out, and few seem to be good ways. I'll be watching this just to be safe.

I lean Conservative, for what it's worth. Getting into all the reasons why would have to come with "trigger warnings" for some people. And that is the main reason I am unsure that this is a suitable topic for this forum.

I'm an American and do not lean towards or vote for party line ideals. I vote as I see it will help Americans, not one party or another; and definitely not to support a politicians belief.

While I get this isn't much of a debate, people have posted a little, which is pretty good for around here lately!

I'm a liberal but not easily "triggered." I fundamentally believe that the government should regulate industries and provide support to help counteract society's ills.

If you would like I can transfer this Topic to the GD Forum, which maybe more suitable. Mod Bluegrasss

I believe I am mostly a progressive in terms of ideology, not modern-day issues or party lines. Progressivism differs from liberalism in that they focus more on proactive regulation than simply investing in government programs. However, a lot of my beliefs conflict with the ideals of the Democrats in the US and the current Democratic Party in Italy.
