Entertainment Forum:Questions for Moderators and Posting Rules
This is the definition of Karma in the FAQ's...
Karma is a reflection upon how well you act in the Braingle community. When you perform a positive action such as getting a teaser approved you will get a little positive karma . If you perform a negative action such as swearing in the chatrooms you will get a little negative karma . Every time you do something on Braingle it will be calculated into your karma value.
The icons adjacent to your name show everyone your accumulated karma value. This can help you find friendly and helpful friends.
Additionally, users with too much bad karma will have their account restricted so they can no longer harm our community.

How do you get points KK?
FAQ:
Registered users earn points for submitting and voting on brain teasers and quizzes.
Any teasers or quiz that you submit which gets approved earns you 50 points.
Every time you vote on a brain teaser or quiz, you get 1 point.
Once you have 500 total points, you will be able to report duplicates and if you can find any, you can earn 50 points. Once you have 500 points, you will also be allowed to correct a teaser or quiz that may have a problem. Successfully correcting a teaser or quiz will earn you 5 points. You do not get points for correcting your own teasers or quizzes. When you reach 500 points you will also be allowed to review quizzes that are still in the queue waiting to be approved or rejected. Each time you review one of these quizzes, you will get 1 point.

How do you become a mod?
If you click on the Public Forums page that lists all of the forums, at the bottom of the list it says "Become a moderator". Just click on that and fill out the application and when a current mod resigns, there is an election with the people who signed up.
This signature is better than your signature. It's true.
This signature is better than your signature. It's true.
There will only be an election if the current moderators decide that it's necessary to elect a new one. This is taken into consideration based soley upon the forum in question.

I thought I would just pop in and reiterate what KK has said as to members who are not moderators answering questions asked. Please read the first post in this topic as it does state only moderators are to answer questions here.
Thanks everyone.

Hello. I wanted to be a mod of this forum at some point, and since I'm active and ready for the job, I'd think I'd be a good mod. But, I know I won't be a mod just by asking. So, I want to know: when will I know when there's an oppurtunity to be mod? Thanks.
