You can download programs that can animate your avatars (GIF), or you can just make a still frame in Microsoft Paint or any similar graphics program.

There are a few programs out there that can make animated avatars. Just a bunch of still images that are changed at a certain time. I use unfreeze to create the GIF. Then you just use Paint.NET or something similar to that to create the still images you wish to use.

I have found Jasc to work well for animation.
Adobe Photoshop works well with sizing and customizing pictures.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but it is about my avatar. Last night I changed my avatar to "Pitt", but it is still a picture of Jim and Pam from The Office. It was OK last night on my home computer, but now on my work computer it's different. The weird thing is that on my "Edit Personal Information" page, it is an image of "Pitt". Does anyone know why this is? I'd appreciate any help. (Perferably so I can fix it before the first round of the Big East tournament tonight. ) Thanks!

That happened to me too.

I use paintbrush to make my avatars.

Start by going to attributes and setting it to 100x100 pixels,
then I draw a square around that so I know my boundries.

Then fill in the blank... just remember to save as a jpeg.

If you'd like to take a gander at some of the ones I've made
you can visit my wiki... then avatarpage (shortcut at bottom)

Anyone is welcome to use my avatars, all I ask is that you not hack them.
Please use them as is or not at all.

*shrug* if anyone needs help you're welcome to PM me.

Hey, I was wondering how you make those "slide show avatars" where it's a lot of still frames after each other?

There are several free animation programs that are free to download. I use Serif DrawPlus 4. It's pretty easy to use.

One of the prerequisites before making a signature is to have 50 points. Don't worry, it's not too hard to get.

Actually, the ways to get points are outlined here. Posting doesn't add any points.

I have exactly 58 points, and I've signed in and signed out about 58 times (a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point), and there is no "Personal Message" or "Signature" box showing up on my Edit Personal blah-blah-blah page.

I am baffled and would greatly appreciate some help.
