Hey Guys and Gals . . . you are missing a short lived thread here in the General Discussion. Please, come on Christmas only comes once a year and part of Christmas is going out and singing Christmas Carols. All I ask is each person post a line to the current carol. And the person who posts the last line of the current song, gets to chose the next carol for everyone to post on. I mean granted we can't hear everyones beautiful, or not so beautiful voices, but it is just the fun of going caroling with you friends. Today is the 16th of December and Christmas is only 9 days away.

Let us see how many carols we can get sung before Christmas. Doesn't have to be religious type either, Rudolph or Frosty or Grayma Got Run Over By A Reindeer will do for songs too. Please join in the fun before it is too late! P L E A S E

The sound of the wild, but if there is no one there, does anyone hear their howls?

A panel of 3 independent Judges are needed to help moderate my NEW Essay Writing Contest. The role may be fairly time consuming, but your voluntary contribution to my contest would be very worthwhile. You will have the opportunity to critically assess others' work, choose the winners of the contest, and provide feedback on contestants' work.

The role will start at the beginning of February after the contest has ended.

The Judges will remain anonymous.

Please PM me for more details.

The Title says it all, doesn't it?

I'm looking at starting up a 'Braingle Awards.'

People vote for users on different topics, such as:

Nicest User
Meanest User
Wittiest User
Awesomest User

Best WTB Game
Best WWG Game

Best Talkbox

Among Others as well!

BUT... I can't do this by myself. I need people to help me.
PM me if you want to help.

It is with great pleasure that I can announce not only my return to Braingle, but also the return of the Braingle Essay Writing Contest!

Some topics create a lot of debate, and have very strong arguments from both sides. There are several ways of presenting your views about a topic, one of which is through the medium of writing. Writing an essay that is persuasive and engages with the audience requires a high level of creativity, as well as technical skills in terms of structure, clarity, organisation and spelling.

Here at Braingle, we like to encourage mental stimulation and all activities that get your brain working! Bearing that in mind, I am pleased to announce the *NEW* Essay Writing Contest!

It is hoped that you find the essay writing to be a fulfilling, creative task which also engages you with the topic and gets you thinking about possible alternative arguments, other than those which you hold.

Please join the OFFICIAL talkbox and get writing!

Happy Writing!

Wow. Can someone please make Magyk's a post a little smaller so that it doesn't go off the screen as much?

Anyways, I'm thinking about modding a TB-based Werewolf game. Active players willing to try something new are encouraged to join up by filling out the basic details in the corresponding Google Documents form. (I'd make a topic saying to sign up, but that would likely break the rules).

I want a maximum of 20 players and a minimum of 10. If the waiting period goes over a week and I have 10 players or some other even number of players ready, I will start the game before reaching 20.

There will be no seers (sorry) but that's because this game is meant to be a bit confusing. The goal is still to win, but it will be tricky.

Firstly, I will break up the even number of players into two talkboxes (when the games starts, I will send you an invitation to one of the two; randomly chosen, of course). Players may still not have outside interactions and this will mean that half of the players can't interact. The one thing they can do is find out the results of who was shot and eaten and find out the current votes. [Votes will be submitted via a Google Documents form that everyone can view]

I will post what was said to the opposite Group at the start of the next round so that while the discussions aren't current, both sides are less in the dark. Sounds tricky? It's not so bad. I'll be handling most of the complex stuff.

Oh, but there is one thing that might be a bit confusing. All players will submit three choices of who they would like to eat for the night. You see, I won't tell you what role you're playing as. It's your job to figure it out based on who was eaten.

So really, no one will know who's who at the start. I think that will make things interesting.

If you have any questions or complaints, feel free to send me a PM. If you would like to join please go to this link: Delayed Resonance Sign-Ups. I will send you a confirmation PM and add your name to the list. Nights and days will last for 24 hours.

Is this the dumbest idea you've ever heard or what? But I think it can be fun. I'm calling it Delayed Resonance.
