Well yesterday, June 14, was Flag Day here in the states and it was also the birthday of a young lady from Nigeria. However Khadijaajeje has not signed on for a number of days.

And today, 6/15/14 is JaxStar's birthday. He hasn't been on for 5 0r 6 days, but we will wish both of them a very Happy Birthday and hope they both come in to see the card I am putting up for them.

Vlerma, Thank you so much for the birthday greetings!!! I have always enjoyed peeking in at this ministry of yours. You have such a way of making everyone feel loved!

I'm sure you saw me post this elsewhere, but thought I'd share it here also:

Facts on Friday the 13th:
-Those falling in June are the years 1975, 1980, 1986, 1997, 2003, 2008, 2014, 2025 We will have to wait 11 years for the next Friday June 13th
-There is at least one Friday the 13th every year, with some years having three (Feb, March, Nov. or Jan, Apr, July)
-In a 28 year cycle, each month has the same number of occurrences of Friday the 13th: 8
-The longest period we go without a Friday the 13th is 14 months.
-The 13th of the month is slightly more likely to be Friday than any other day of the week (Sun: 687, Mon: 685, Tues: 685, Wed: 687, Thurs: 684, Fri: 688, Sat: 684, over a cycle of 400 years)

This means that in my life time I have celebrated 5 Friday the 13th birthdays, the most notable of which was my 13th birthday! Yes, I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. I now have to wait another 11 years before I get to celebrate my next Friday the 13th birthday.

Oh Mocha, thank you for sharing your information about Friday, the 13th. Most people are so superstitious about the 13th on a Friday with Black Cats and leaning ladders, but for me, the 13th being on a Friday was to me a sign of life. You see my paternal grandmother was born on a Friday, the 13th of April so I always figured if she hadn't been born neither would I have been in the picture. LOL No chance of your wee one being born on a 13th?

I am hoping people are enjoying what I have been doing. You are the first to comment very much about it. And I hope no one thinks I have tried to take over this area. I was always told on my job that they could give me a task and I would research it to the hilt and then do my report. I guess by hunting things down about birthdays it puts my mind back in the "Work Mode." Body is not capable, but the old mind still functions most of the time.

But I also have a grandson who loves to play Roblox on Morzilla Firefox and for some unknown reason it is causing my mouse to freeze and the only way I have found to thaw it out, tee hee, is to reboot the machine. And then today all of a sudden it started doing some new things. I do have Norton to protect from outside intrusions, but I also have one driver that seems to slow clear down, drag it's feet, or cogs, and then start back up. I am far from being afraid of the computer, but there are some things I just am not knowledgeable enough about to handle getting it to where I am really comfortable with it. So consequently I am sometimes late at getting a birthday up on the day it should be. Hope all will forgive. I let the Norton sort all through this thing today, so am hoping that will help.

Sorry for running late on our latest birthday wishes for pokemaster. He listed Hoenn as his location which was an unknown to me, so we used our ever friendly computer to find out. It is a term used by Pokémon experts. Guess I am never to old to learn new things.

So Braingleland lets all join to wish Pokemaster a very Happy Birthday which was on the 26th. His game may not be as physical as this list, but here are some well known athletes who share his birthdate: Ed Jovanovski a hockey player, Derek Jeter a baseball player, Felipe Melo a soccer player, Deron Williams a basketball player and, Michael Vick, a football player.

What happened in history for May 26? Well here is a short list of some highlights:

May 26, 1924 President Coolidge signs Immigration Law (restricting immigration)
May 26, 1937 San Francisco Bay's Golden Gate Bridge opens
May 26, 1946 Patent filed in US for H-Bomb
May 26, 1955 Conservatives win British parliamentary election
May 26, 1969 The Apollo 10 astronauts return to earth after their successful 8-day rehearsal for the first manned moon landing
May 26, 1977 "Movie ""Star Wars"" debuts
May 26, 1984 "Frisbee is kept aloft for 1,672 seconds in Philadelphia"
May 26, 1994 Michael Jackson (35) weds Elvis' daughter Lisa Marie Presley (26)
May 26, 2002 The Mars Odyssey finds signs of huge water ice deposits on the planet Mars.

So Pokeman we are hoping you did have a great birthday on Thursday with family, friends and other loved ones, with plenty of blessings and birthday cake.

Does anyone besides me remember the Buick commercial where this guy is putting up lights everywhere so they will shine on his driveway and his neighbor asks if those are his lights? I mean yeah, I know, I'm an old TV nut, nothing else to do but watch commercials! Anyhow the house in the background belongs to our birthday boy, RGW4!

Randy, I am so sorry I was late in posting your birthday wishes on July 9th. But you know what they say, dodo happens. In case the rest of you have never faced this guy in a Werewolf game here on Braingle, he is just about the best player I have run up against. So if you don't have anything else to do today please help me wish this old grandpa a HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY.

Wow, wxman has been a faithful Braingle member since 2003 and today is his birthday. Wxman hasn't been really verbal or talkative on Braingle, but he really seems to enjoy the teasers and has been awarded a medal for over 12,000 games played. So here is a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY going out to WXMAN! Wishing you many, many more.

Thank you Grayma!

The Buick commercial still pops up once in a while.

Friday, a Toyota commercial was filmed next door to where they filmed the Buick commericial. We were asked to remove our American flag and a Birthday flag we fly at times (yes, it was up for my birthday this time)... because our house could again be in the background. You will recognize the commercial fairly quickly, there is a family of 4 taking a picture of themselves on their new Red Prisa (sp?) in their driveway... with the daughter sitting on the roof of the car. She was there most of the day... it must have been sort of boring after a while.

Dowinka celebrated her birthday on 7/14. As seen in the Pubic Forums she has made personal, eye to eye contact with another Braingle young lady and they will be besties forever. I have enjoyed dowinka's posts over the years and she has such an "UP" attitude and sees the best in everybody. Dowinka, please excuse this "day late" posting, Big Hugs from Grayma V and since I did blow it this year I will send double wishes so I will be a year ahead of myself for next year. Hope it was a good one Hannah.

More well known people share July 22nd than I have had to list since I started adding this information to the birthday messages. Sharing this date are: Selena Gomez and Bobby Sherman, singers, Madison Pettis, Danny Glover and Louise Fletcher, movie actors, David Spade, Keegan Allen and AJ Cook, TV actors, along with Alex Trebek, game show host, two wrestlers, Shawn Michaels and Fandango and a really special little guy: Prince George, third heir to the British throne is the BIG ONE today.

So that brings us to our two young ladies that Braingeland honors this day: boygirl from Canada who enjoys our quizzes and Life-Sucks from Oregon. Now word has it that Life-Sucks and dowinka another of our Brainglers, have now met face to face and have formed a forever friends relationship. Way to go Sasha and Hannah. A great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to boygirl and Life-Sucks.
