Story:
"mathisnce was the first to break the silene. Hey guys, w can do this, there are 15 of us and only 1 of him, we just need to stick together" erveryone nodded in agreement. It doesn't matter how dangerous you are with the odds stacked so heavily in their favour, they regained their nerve.
OK so where do we start? asked faith, wow about we scour the downstairs first and work our way up suggested mathgeek. Sounds good J-boy added. It was settled, they worked their way around the old dilapidate building every once n a while the rotten wood on the floor gave an eerie creaking noise, giving everyone a spine tingling reminder of reminder of the situation they were in.
Just as they were about to finish up a loud "SNAP" was heard. One of the wooden planks had given way Flash got his leg trapped.
Everyone rushed over to help, but the floor started to give under the weight. OK Everyone back away. Shadows stated, it's too risky to have everyone help, the rotten wood won't be able to handle the strain of of everyone. We need two maybe three volunteers to do this.
I will said someone from the back, and Faith stepped forward, me too stated mathisnice, Flash helped me get through some tough times, he has always been a really through friend. Oh what the hey why not, stated Mathgeek. OK so the rest of us will met you by the front door in a little bit. let us know when your doe, ok. Said a nervous kmr.
Oh relax, were in the next room, nothing will happen, said Mocha, in a less than convincing voice.. As deep down, she herself was nervous, after all in circumstances such as this wow could you not be. A half an our later and there is still no sign of Mathgeek, mathisnice, Flash or faith. Their absence is painfully obvious.
Randy Limerick and jervis, decide to go and check on them. What they saw horrified them. Eh guys, you should probably come and see this shouted Limerick.. Upon entering the room the group gazed eyes on the bloodied floor with four bags tied up. jervis opened up one of the bags and discovered Flashes body hacked to pieces. he quickly resealed the bag and took a minute to reminisce about his friend.
Limerick discovered a note, it stated.
It was a short and clear message to the group and they knew it. Stewie is gonna pay for this jervis said, rage burning in his eyes, mark my words, if it's the last ting I do, I will make him pay for murdering our friend. Everyone took a minute to say one last goodbye to Matheek, mathisnice Faith and Flash. With more intent than ever, the group went off on search for Stewie. This time Vengence was on their mind.
Stewie.

Looks like jervis is clear, good to know we can trust you!
I'm thinking we should get another majority going again this round, I'm open to suggestions. I looked up the book the Boss mentions, it is a Newbery Medal winner written in 2004, which makes me think the boss is either young ish (15-20) or has kids or grandkids in that age.
Putting in a vote now for kmrutledge, but will be back tomorrow to change.

Random vote for j-boy. not gonna say much, because i am typing with nine fingers which is hard.

What happened to your other finger?
Voting for J-Boy (sorry if you don't want to be in a mini-majority, kmr) for the following reasons:
1. What jervis said last round made sense - the Boss tends to vote in majorities, so the four people who voted in the R1 majority are more likely to be the Boss.
2. I hesitate to go by writing style; it's so easily disguised. All the same, of the four, I think I can most easily see J-Boy writing those memos.
I read The Tale of Despereaux back when I was in junior high, I believe. It's a wonderful, heartwarming book. You should all read it. I think 15-20 is too high of an age range; tweens and younger teens are more likely to enjoy it.
Also, they recently made a movie based on the book (I heard it wasn't very good), which means the Boss isn't necessarily a tween or a parent, and could just be a movie enthusiast. That would tie in very nicely with the fact that they don't read.
I'm kind of nodding off as I'm typing. Looks like it's time for bed. Will look into the reading thing tomorrow.
Sorry if parts of this don't make sense. Too tired to think straight. Goodnight!
EDIT: vote confirmed

Firstly that writing style is nothing like mine secondly I don't read anything remotely heartwarming 😂
Feel free to clear me but anyone who knows me will tell you that's not me.
Just remember Jervis may be the rat. Don't be too sure of trusting him.
Otherwise just a safety for Shadows for now.

Ok. I will vote for shaidar to keep myself safe for now.
I've never heard of that book. But then I'm not a reader.
Jpost, yeah I could be the rat, but I'd like to think that my merit stands for itself this game. I will take a back seat for now and let you guys/gals decide who to vote for. If you want to clear Shaidar, I will be able to change my vote with about 4 hours leeway.
I don't have any strong vibes so far for boss. The Lolcats seemed to me to be a younger person? Not sure of the meaning. The use of idk also indicates to me youth, but really could just be a trans-pacific thing. it isn't something we use much here.
Rockstar and space shuttle sounds like more male interests, but then the book that mocha/shadow describes sounds more appealing to a girl. So I can't quite pinpoint the gender.

Hmm, I'm actually thinking kmr might be a decent shot this round (to clear if nothing else). I will vote kmrutledge for now. As long as mocha doesn't mind being in a majority.

I absolutely do not mind being in a majority. That is the best way to find our boss, and as I've been in a majority every round so far and not fired, I'm feeling lucky... maybe that's because the boss is giving me an extended birthday present?

I voted a safety vote for Shadows, though I don't really think she is the boss. J-boy seems likely, but not sure right now.
The rockstar comment stated a touring singer like a rockstar... did not say a rockstar. Type of music could be anything, but it does sound like the person likes to sing (doesn't mean well... just likes to sing).
See the first space shuttle - - interesting point in history. I could list about 20 other things that I would have more interest in seeing if given the chance, though many of them I would like to be ensured safety if I could go back in time... like witnessing Pearl Harbor on the morning of Dec 7th. If not possible, then it would have to be something with built in safety - I would have to think on that one as most of my choices have built in danger.
The comment about the current book - Tale of Desparoux was also combined with I don't read a lot, used too. Could be a play on words because we were all forced to read a lot in school and once out of school, it is strickly a choice to some degree. It could also mean the person is getting older and just has found other hobbies to do because reading small print becomes harder to do even with glasses (at times). Shadows says this book is one for younger people... I will have to tke her word on that... I have never heard of it.

Sorry guys, not a lot of time today, it's Father's Day over here.
Seriously doubt it's krum, so I might join the J-Boy maj, see if we can get that going for a clear.
We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.

Actually, rereading the memo and looking at the list of players, I think mocha is the most likely. Switching to her. Be nice to get a majority here.

I need to vote because I have a busy afternoon. I'm surprised to find I wasn't fired since I was in a large majority! I am willing to join another majority to clear someone else. I will make a point to log back in before the round ends to see what majority to join. For now, I'm placing a vote so I do not become a mandatory if I cannot get back on.
Voting for 4wheels for now.
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I am definitely cleared, there was a clear >50% vote on me last round and 2 people voting for me were lemmings that got fired. I cannot be the boss.
How are your holidays going, BTW?

Only four hours left and half of us still haven't voted? Yikes.
No, froggy and Skybet stated their votes, but yeah 3 not voting is not good at all!
Limerick tends to vote late in the piece, but I'd have expected 4wheels and Shaidar to have voted by now considering the times that they were posting the last 2 rounds.
I guess people only go on Braingle at work.
Now Shadows, it is Father's day... people should be treating their fathers like kings and not playing games! Yeah, right. Actually we had "my" father's day yesterday and today I have just been laying around the house watching TV and such. I'm so tired of this difficult day of doing nothing.

Jervis, I will never trust you. I do believe you are 99% clear, but I have little trust in everyone voting as they claim. I have heard of too many people lying about their vote, and I know I even almost forgot to vote this game despite being very active and being confident in who I wanted to vote for. There are just too many variables to know for sure. Thus, you are most likely cleared. Enough that I gave you a pretty green color in the voting list. Would you prefer a different color? Perhaps a nice cyan would suite you better?
Holidays are going well, we took my dad to the casino for brunch and I had my first gambling experience. You would think at 29 that I would have bet money on something by now, but alas. All in all, I played with $20 and walked away with $12, so not too shabby, but it was not that much fun. There are other things I would rather do with my time, like fire a boss!
We are running out of time, and I'd rather some sort of majority, so I'm going to switch my vote to jboy to make his majority stronger. Ugh, that means I have to go change the voting list I just updated... again.

Speaking of checking votes, mine is checked to make sure I switched to jboy.
Also, jboy and kim, you might want to break your small loop, I think the best would be for jboy to vote somewhere else to keep the majority. Otherwise we could lose the same person we are clearing. Then again, we might have several mandatories again.

I doubt they will "hear" you Mocha... only about 10 minutes to go in the round. The fact remains, there is now a majority of 3 on one player and no other listed majorities. Granted someone probably voted, did not disclose, and formed another one... but that is the biggest problem with game play on the week-ends when players want to feel the wind in the hair and not play on the commitment they made to a game. IT actually looks like only mandatories will be fired at this point anyway... and we lose another round.

Yep times up. So we'll probably just have mandatories or at most 1 regular firing. A shame couldn't get the >50% vote for another person. We will have to see if its a totally wasted round again.
@mocha, a shame you didnt enjoy it. $8 for a few hours 'entertainment' isn't too bad. And sure cyan would match my eyes I think.

It shouldn't matter anyways. If there is only 3 firings and 2 do happen to be mandatory, then if 1 of you is fired it would clear the other. I doubt there would be just 1 mandatory.
