Well, tala was undoubtedly a mandatory firing, as far as jpost is concerned, the voting list has hm voting tala and I don't see anywhere he mentioned changing off her.
So really, we learned nothing form this round.
And yes, I like tBNL. Have been listening to them for over 20 years, but as they hail from about two hours from where I live, I'd be a bit foolish to name a Canadian band.

I haven't heard of the band before, sorry boss. I don't listen to much music anyway. I'm putting a safety vote on froggy. I'll check for any forming majorities when I get up in the morning.

I'm not sure, but i don't see Froggy calling us losers.
The name of the band is Barenaked Ladies not Bare Naked Ladies (not sure that make a difference but just an observation).
Not sure where i feel like placing my vote right now. Will be back in the morning to figure it out.

If I had a million dollars is the only song I know, and it is a good one. I used to own a k-car, given to me by my grandfather. I also love Kraft mac and cheese!
I am safety voting for LR this round.
And HABS, we did not learn nothing. We learned that Tala is not the boss! What does the t stand for in tBNL? and you are so cute in trying to disconnect yourself from every clue.
Oh, and I had to go look it up. You are from London Canada - or New London? It has been awhile, so I don't remember exactly. Denver is 39 degrees 45 minutes north and Cheyenne Wyoming is 41 degrees 9 minutes. Cleveland is 41 degrees 28 minutes. Are you south of Cleveland? If not, I don't think you can be south of Denver, or any part of Colorado.

Habs, you are absolutely correct - I do not call anyone a loser as that is such a hurtful thing to say. As far as the Barenaked Ladies (as Habs shows it spelled), I'm not even sure who they are let alone list them as a favorite musical choice.
Since I have a very busy morning tomorrow, I think I should vote now so as not to be a mandatory - just not sure who to vote for at this point. I'm putting out a safety vote for Stewie subject to change if I come back and see a good reason to vote for someone else.
SMILE and people will wonder what you are up to!

I've heard of the band, but I've never heard them and I doubt it's my kind of music. Seeing as how lots of people like lots of music genres, I doubt the choice necessarily gives us one solid demographic.
Humorously enough, both of the American female players have denied knowing the band. Obviously, if the boss is an American female, someone is lying. That's a given, though. It's interesting how given that broad things like genres - a simple "rock" or "pop" - could easily have been used, boss chose a specific band. If it had been me, I would certainly have done something vague or common to not stand out.
I'm wondering who we should be picking for a clear this round. Seeing how HABS is quite active, we might as well as try her, no? I'm voting for HABS. If others plan to join, then hopefully we can get her cleared. If others have a better idea, I can listen to that.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?

As indicated by my flag, I am CANADIAN, I live in London, ONTARIO (which is located at 42.9837° N, 81.2497° W, (so okay, not as far south as I had thought but still south of a lot of the US).
To give you an idea of where it is, Detroit and Niagara Falls are both about 2 hours away, New York city is just over 8 hrs and you can be in Orlando is 19. My pont was it is not cold here in the summer. You cannot survive without A/C. I was in Calgary, AB a few years back (n the summer) and everyone was complaining about the heat. I was COLD most of the week. The hottest it got there was 30 (86) with very little humidity. London, during the same week was over 42 (107) with the humidity.
As I said before, please do vote for me, I welcome the clear.
And yes, I am trying to distance myself from the clues, as in all of them it appears the boss is trying to make it seem like it could be me. |
1) Choosing a show watched mostly by females
2) making reference to a "cold" rain playing on the assumption that it is always cold here.
3) Listing a Canadian band as favorite.
BTW, as an aside, I don't care for Kraft Dinner (what we call it and how it is referred to in the song "$1,000,000), have never owned (or even driven a K-car, and would never wear fur.
And it is not "obvious" someone is lying. We have had this discussion before I don't lie within the game, unless saying "nope, not me" when it is me. I know lots (okay most) people lie in the game and that is fine, I just choose not to.

I will vote HABS too. We need to clear someone.
I might as well go with the majority now. I don't have a lot to go on, though I hav never heard of BareNaked Ladies. I have herd the name mentioned here but I have never listened to them, the are unheard of here in Ireland.
Like scrubb said, it is round three and we seriously need to clear someone.
I'm still leaning towards a female American boss though so, I sense this is a setup.
But I can't give any evidence as to why, it's just a hunch.

Given the fact that both American female players denied knowing the band, I said that if the boss is really an American female then one of them must be lying. If you still think it's an American female, find out which is lying and you'll get your boss. That goes for you too, Stewie. If you still think the boss is an American female, by all means get a majority on Days or Froggy. We still have time if you'd like to switch. As I've said, I'm only trying to clear HABS because a) I'm unsure of the gender/location of our boss and therefore see no reason to choose an American female to clear over anyone else and b) I see that HABS contributes often so it would make sense to clear her. Not to mention, as she has, the boss could certainly be trying to frame her in answers so we might want to get that out of the way. Not to mention that if the frame-work is really just an excuse or a way to make her seem too obvious as boss, we get our boss, too.
If you have a better person to clear, please say it and we can still change our votes.
Why didn't the Libertarian cross the road?
I think we should clear HABS this round, I think she is the better option, Like you said I think she will be very helpful ax a cleared player in the next round.
Lets clear HABS.

Days - Froggy
froggygg - Stewie
HABS2933 - Days
LogicalRoger - HABS
scrub88 - HABS
StewieGriffin - HABS
Assuming boss and rat are here, we need at least 4 for HABS to have a rat-proof, boss-proof candidate vote. Assuming two of those who stated to have voted for HABS is fired, HABS will be cleared.
If the rat has been fired, then there are 5 real votes meaning we should have at least 3 to create a majority, and so need 4, again, to have a boss-proof majority. So we should just need one more for HABS.

I don't understand what looping is, or how the change in your vote changes the outcome this round.
I also think we need 5 stated votes not 4, if the Rat is still in the game. 6 players, 4 employees, 3 votes to win/clear. You need more than 50% of the vote to win.
I also think that once anyone who voted for HABS is fired, then HABS is cleared. You can't fire people that vote for the boss.

Depending on who gets fired, I think four would be okay. Even if only two employees of the four voted for HABS, then it would only be uncertain if we had employees vote for the same person in a group of two or three. Assuming that Froggy and HABS are employees and told the truth (as if either is not, we already have three employee votes for HABS) then HABS would still have the most votes and still be a candidate. We need more than 50% if we are trying to fire HABS as a boss. But if we get a majority of employees to vote for her, then we should clear her if any two of them are fired.
Now, of course I could be wrong in my interpretation, and things could get complicated if any of us employees lied or forgot to vote.
It's a lot to take in, but I don't think I got anything wrong. But the voting calculus has tripped me up in the past, so yeah...

Seeing as how one fired could be HABS' rat, it's probably most certain if two are fired. (How may can even be fired now with only 6 players?). But even here, unless our votes are uncertain or different than said, if HABS was boss we would have a majority of employees voting for her, ensuring her being fired. So the rat being fired should only work if things went haywire for the employees. It's a lot to take in, but I don't think I got anything wrong.
