Try phrasing it right. The last I knew, 12:35 is referred to as 25 TO 1, not 25 OF 1.
I know a lot of people (at least in my area - CT) who would say "25 of 1". It actually comes out as "25 uh 1" in speech. It's most noticeable when the upcoming hour isn't specified, as in, "It's a quarter of."
It's funny that you bring it up, Rob, because once when I was in Mexico I had a big conversation about this with a British guy who thought saying "...of..." was pretty weird. Hehehe. (I won't even mention some of that crazy British slang. )
Good job!

actually the proper way is 25 of 1, even though no one says it like that.

I don't get it.
I don't get it. Can someone please explain!?!
Saying "25 of 1" is another way of saying "25 minutes before 1 o'clock"...in other words, 12:35. So this question is asking what numerical sequence beginning with a '1' precedes 12:35. The answer is 12:34.
(You just have to take for granted that the question is looking for the time that comes RIGHT before 12:35, and also that the numbers in the sequence have to be adjacent. Otherwise, any time between 100 and 12:34 would work.)

...Sigh...smileys. That is, between 10 o'clock and 12:34.
Lol, that one took me a little while to understand, but I finally got it without having to read the comments for an explanation! It's very good, keep up the good work!
Too smart for me. . .
Really fun, though!

i dun get it .......
huh. i had no idea what "25 of 1" meant... so i just looked at the answer/comments. the title helped a little too.
Whaaaaaaaat???????????????????????
I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THIS THING IS TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!
i agree happyhawk i dont get it aswell how did it become 12:34orwas it 12:35 who cares.....
Didn't have a clue what you you were on about. '25 to 1' would make far more sense. Thumbs down on this one.
Actually subtox you are incorrect. when some ones says it is "25 of 1" they are saying you have already had "25" minutes "of 1" O'clock, hence "25 of 1" . For it to be 2:35 it is "25 to 1" as in "25" minutes "to 1".
sorry, that last time should have read 12:35 not 2:35
I don't get it...
What? YOU HURT MY SMALLISH BRAIN YOU WILLLL PAAAAAY!!!!!!!
I don't get it
Ooohh... I had to read the comments before I understood the question. That one went right over my head!
