Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
One day, a man named Thomas was happily coming down the road after winning a bridge bet. He then, in his pridefulness, asked the next person he saw to have a bet. That person was named Burb, and Burb liked making bets.
Burb bet that Thomas couldn't walk on the bottom of the river, the deepest part, with no gear, except for a gas mask, a book, and a bucket. After thinking for a while at home, Thomas then thought of something. The next day, when they both met, Thomas brought all his objects with him, and then went into the river. Later, Thomas was happily walking down the road, again much richer. How did he do it?

Did he put the book on top of the bucket to weigh it down so he would sink? Please, no one try this. I see sad tragedy ensuing.
Wouldn't he float? I don't this would work.
I thought the answer was that there was a drought and the river had dried up. This happens in some places.
