i got that esally
what?so d.c comics is detective comics comics?
Am I wrong, or isn't Batman also the only one of these Superheroes with no actual super-powers? That's why I chose him as the answer.
Batman has no super powers. I don't know about the others.
Yep..that's a possible answer, but my mind was focused on groups belonging to Marvel comics.
I chose Batman because of no super powers and because, other than the costume, he does not change appearance.
How about Thor? I didn't know that Thor was a "super hero" so I chose him as the only "non-American" in the bunch. Not the correct answer, but maybe okay?
This one was a snap if you are a comics fan. Otherwise, I don't think you would have gotten it.
I would add that Batman counts double because he is the only one that does not have a super power. Batman is a regular guy who depends on gadgets, know how and fists.

I dont think Spiderman really has super powers either just his spider sense and his engineered web shooters. Not any super power to speak of.
I figured it was something like that, but I didn't know which belonged to which company. My husband would have gotten it right away!
Way out of my league. It's been 50 years or more since I read any of these comics. Good one even though I didn't get it.
Superheroes are not in my area of expertise, and comic books are definitely from my past, so I didn't get this right. My guess was Thor for the same reason as Bestgirl. Thanks, Jazz, for posting.

bestgirl & bradon: Nightcrawler is German, so also "non-American".
I chose Nightcrawler because he has a tail. None of the others do. Kind of dumb, yes, but I didn't think the DC/Marvel thing really held true as a lot of those characters have appeared in the other Universe (Batman and Superman cross into each others worlds all the time for instance).
Ah well, teach me to overthink it.

I thought Captain america was DC too. ISn't he?
My screen jumped and there was the answer.Bummer.....
Iron man does not have powers
Yay. I got this. Not sure if that's something to be proud of or not
I agree with Deedee. Ironman's powers are given by his suit

A few comments: DC & Marvel are different comic companies. DC has Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, etc. Marvel has the X-men characters, Spider-Man, Hulk, Captain America and company.
Spiderman has many super powers - the ability to stick to walls, super strength, spider sense...
Batman and Iron Man both have powers only as a result of their technology. Captain America, IIRC, was 'enhanced' with a serum, but I'm not sure if he's considered to have super powers or not.

I knew that it was a marvel thing but I thhought Iron-man was the one that wasn't marvel. So I got it half right.
I said Thor because he was the only god. The Norse god....equivalent to Zeus. All the rest were superheros.
Isn't Nightcrawler the only one that was born with his powers?
I chose him.
I chose him.
Of course as soon as I post, I realize Thor was born with his too.
Though I am not comic book fan, when we were kids my brother was so I knew about Marvel and DC and assumed it may have something to do with that, but as I have never read a comic in my life, did not know which hero was from which series. Thought it may have to do with the Justice League as well, but again don't know which belong there.
I choose Batman but for the wrong reason.
Batman does not have super powers.
But now that I write this neither does Nightcrawler. Like all mutants he gets his powers from a gene mutation.
Good one!

Right of the top of the list I noted that Spiderman was not the correct name and, as far as I know, the rest are correct. Spider-Man was also not really ever part of a working team. Even old Batman was a quasi member of the Justice League.
So, one reason for Batman (the DC thing) and two reasons to pick "Spiderman". No team mates and wrong handle.

I also thought the answer was Thor. All the others are fairly modern American heroes. Thor is a Nordic god. Those of us who do not live in the USA, would not know about the actual comics.
II have never ben a comic book person either so this was not a good teaser for me. I enjoy reading good adult books.
I picked Batman straight away because not a Marvel Hero, but have never heard of Nightcrawler, so wasn't sure! Well, it has been nearly 60 years since I read a comic. This was fun, Thanks Jazz!
I had no clue on this one. I never really read comic books as a kid on a regular basis. I knew all these characters from movies. Nothing made any one of them stand out, so I gave up.
One need not be a comic book aficionado to know this.
Too easy
I'd have put this in the trivia category. I suppose it hit its niche target audience. Not every teaser needs to appeal to every reader.
Easy if you know it. But I like the fact that Batman doesn't have super powers as another reason.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I got this one very quickly.
