From an early age, Phyllis has been enraptured by mythological lore. Phyllis has now found a way to turn her love of mythology into a hobby - she collects mythological deity action figures. Phyllis has accumulated five figures so far, each of which depicts a different deity and is made from a different material. Each of the figures is a different height and weight. From the info provided, determine the material from which each figure is made, as well as each toy's height in inches and weight in ounces.
Figure - Ares, Demeter, Hera, Odin and Thor
Material - Aluminum, Ceramic, Plastic, Rubber and Wood
Height - 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 inches
Weight - 3, 5, 6, 7, and 8 ounces
1. The Ares figure weighs less than 8 ounces. The Demeter action figure (which isn't made from rubber) weighs more than 3 ounces.
2. The ceramic figure is taller than the one that weighs 6 ounces (which doesn't depict Odin). The heaviest figurine (which doesn't depict Demeter) isn't 2 inches tall.
3. The 3-ounce toy (which isn't five inches tall) isn't the rubber figure (which doesn't depict Hera).
4. The plastic figure weighs more than the 5-inch toy. The 1-inch figure weighs 5 ounces. The aluminum action figure weighs more than 3 ounces. The figure of Odin (which isn't the one made from wood) weighs less than 8 ounces.
5. The Thor figure isn't the 3-inch figure (which doesn't weigh 6 ounces). Neither the figure of Hera (which isn't the heaviest toy) nor the ceramic figure is the lightest action figure.

Answer
Ares - wood, 3 inches and 3 ouncesDemeter - ceramic, 5 inches and 7 ounces
Hera - aluminum, 2 inches and 6 ounces
Odin - rubber, 1 inch and 5 ounces
Thor - plastic, 4 inches and 8 ounces
The 8-ounce figure isn't Ares (1), Demeter (2), Odin (4) or Hera (5). Therefore it's Thor. Thor isn't 2 inches (2), 5 inches (4), 1 inch (4) or 3 inches (5). Thus Thor is 4 inches tall. The tallest figure - 5 inches - is not 6 ounces (2), 3 ounces (3) or 5 ounces (4), thus it is 7 ounces. The plastic figure is 8 ounces (4). The 1-inch figure is 5 ounces (4). The 3-inch figure isn't 6 ounces (5), thus it has to be 3 ounces. This leaves the 2-inch figure as 6 ounces. The 3-ounce figure isn't rubber (3), aluminum (4) or ceramic (5), thus it is wood. The wood figure isn't Demeter (1), Odin (4) or Hera (5), thus it is Ares. The ceramic figure is the 5-inch figure (2). Hera isn't rubber (3) or ceramic (5), thus Hera is aluminum. Demeter isn't rubber (1), therefore Odin is rubber and Demeter is ceramic. Odin is not 6-ounces (2), thus Odin is 5 ounces - only one left.
