The Amazing Rabbit
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Johnny the farmer is tired of rabbits always coming to his vegetable patch and eating up all his vegetables. So one day, he decides to build a big fence, 4 feet high, 2 feet below the ground (in case the rabbits try to burrow their way underground into his vegetable patch) all around his patch. The fence is very sturdy so no rabbit or any other animal could break it and there's no possible way that the rabbit could get into the vegetable patch without human help. Two days after Johnny built the fence, he found rabbit bite marks on his cabbages and carrots. No humans brought rabbits in or helped the rabbits into the patch, so Johnny was stumped how rabbits could've gotten into the patch. How did rabbits get into the vegetable patch?
Answer
Rabbits didn't get INTO the patch, they were already there when Johnny built the fence. Johnny had forgotten to get the rabbits out of the patch while building the fence, so instead of keeping the rabbits out of his patch he was keeping them in. Once Johnny realized this, he let the rabbits out and didn't have any more rabbit troubles after that.Hide Answer Show Answer

keep them coming!!!!!!!!!!
That was good! But i like my answer better: They flew in!! Shut up you know I'm funny
Who was it that was giving me a hard time for a teaser that was very easy..? Oh yeah... =P
Also, the bite marks could have been there before, and the rabbits could have all been outside.
And a 4 foot high fence, when put into 2 feet into the ground, is only 2 feet tall... and rabbits can easily jump over a two foot fence. At least, some can.

It was saying that there were 4 feet above the ground, 2 feet below the ground

I saw that in a movie...I think it was PHENOMENON...That cheater!
Yes Punk Rocker, you are funny..
So - Is Johnny big time stupid, forgetting to kick the rabbits out after going to all the trouble to fence his patch to exclude them? Or is his veggie patch so big that he can't see the whole thing and notice that rabbits are in there while he's fencing? Six foot high fence fabric gets mighty expensive mighty fast and burying two feet of it is hard work - so he just forgets to kick the bunnies out? Oh - and by the way, how does Johnnie get in and out? its real hard to swing open a gate that has the bottom two feet buried.... Just wondering
duh
Rofl.... nice Myke
mayb Johnnys extermely strong? Or mayb he can fly ! Gud point unklemyke i didn't think uv that.
Good for Johnny... NEXT!!

Uh....this didn't really make sense...........But whatever.....
Very, very, very, very, nice teaser. I liked it a lot. One of the best I have heard. two thumbs way up.
good answer, but i would have said that the bunnies didn't get into the patch. they had nibbled them after they had been picked and on a wagon or whatever.
very easy..but still cool
i had guessed that the fence was like a piket fence and the holes in between were too big but that could be because im not very good at these yet it was still fun though
Yay! I got this one right...it was rather easy, but i liked it! Good job
I liked the part where the rabbits were already in the cage. However, the rabbits might have had very sharp teeth and nibbled their way in. Also, maybe some other animal went into the patch and THEN led a hole into the fence. The teaser never said that there wasn't a hole in the fence.
this is an interesting... stolen... teaser. stolen from the movie phenomena, with john travolta. maybe the person who made this teaser knew that and thats why they named the guy johnny, as a tribute to john travolta who does the EXACT SAME THING in the movie, including realizing the rabbits were trapped INSIDE? (and proceeds to call his friend at 3 in the morning to explain that "hilarious" situation, which made his friend quite angry) - good teaser though
lessthanjake, it doesnt matter if this teaser was based off a movie, its still a teaser just the same.
I thought perhaps the gate had been left open...
cant they go more than 2 feet underground?
can i just saw awww?
Maybe they escaped from the claws of eagles flying low over the patch! Going in my favorites!
