very clever. i like it!
Good puzzle. You could generalise the answer a bit by saying it is the first day of each month in any non leap year beginning with Monday on 1st January.
I agree with Jimbo. I don't think this works well with it being one year inparticular.
that's awesome!!!!!!!!!
i couldn't figure it out!!!!
woops!!!
great job!

This doesn't work well with one year in particular. Even if you got from the hint that the series related to months of the year, it would be almost impossible to determine WHAT year it is referring to. Good idea, though.
The hint wasn't really helpful. After all, you already say "what are the last three days in this series..." which implies that there are only twelve items in it.
A better hint would be something like "new beginnings," "Auld lang syne," or something to bring readers into thinking about the first of the year (and then the first of the months, etc.)
Good thought, though!

the year is 2006
No I thought it was a good hint, becuase it makes youj think the first thing you think about with 12 is months, or maybe thats me....
Impossible!
Take date of January which falls on Monday and keep looking for the same date in the next months..you'll get the pattern..I got it
Its a little complicated for my little mind. but its still good!!
incredibly hard but really cool
i liked it!

jimbos right- it is 2006 now, not 5 years ago!
There are a number of years that this list could pertain to. Your answer is way too specific.
I used 2007 to figure it out.
Great job, the hint was very helpful i figure it out in seconds
It works with every year, just not with the first day of each month. Like someone said above, take a date in January (I chose the 2nd in 2006) that falls on a Monday. Then look for thge same date in each month. It's that same pattern.
hint made it very easy
becuase i have an old 2001 calender lying around...........sorry but how about 2001 as the hint, the 12 hint was easy.....the year was dumb
Yes this would apply to all non leap years where Jan 1st falls on a Monday. That should be the answer as the year is irrevelant. Also, those with the old calendars, have you noticed that no matter what the year, no month starts on the same day as May.
I realized that it was the talking about the first day of the months of a year just didn't bother to look up what year. Good teaser!
sooooo dated right now! but great idea!
