Bank Robbery
Mystery
Mystery teasers are little stories where you need to figure out what happened based on the given clues.Mystery
In the middle of New York City, police officers were called to a bank robbery. The thief had already escaped with the contents of the bank's main vault minutes before the police arrived. They received information from the witnesses and narrowed the suspect list down to two people. From the information below, can you determine who committed the bank robbery?
SUSPECT #1:
"Hello, detective," said the first suspect.
"Good morning. Do you know anything about what happened in the bank earlier today?"
"Yes, but only what I've heard other people say. People were talking about it at work. I think they said the suspect escaped in a red minivan, wearing a dark colored mask, and he had three large bags of money."
SUSPECT #2:
"Sir, where were you at the time of the crime?" asked the detective.
"I was at work. I work down the road from the bank, at the insurance building," responded the suspect.
"Have you ever been in that bank?" the detective asked.
"Never. I use another bank on the other side of town," he responded.
The detective continued his questioning. "Do you mind if we bring you to the bank to see if you match some of the evidence left behind?"
"Go ahead," said the suspect, "take me back to the bank and see what you can find."

Trill-tastic as always!
I thought it was suspect two because he said he used the bank on the other side of town, and at the beginning it said that the bank was in the middle of NYC. Good one!
SourDough says "Take Me Back To The Bank" was the clincher! Very fun puzzle, yes indeed. Three Thumbs Up!

"Take me back to the bank" could refer to the fact that the detective was at the bank.
It was nice and not too long
I thought it was kind of obvious that it was the second person, though. The first person didn't say anything suspcious at all and the long-ness of the second paragraph kind of drew you to it ^^

Easy teaser. husband forgot his English verb noun singular and plural parts of speech. bodies when innocence would have pick the singular. Trillionair too made an obvious mistake with the butlerguardian, which is it a butler or guard?
Wrong Teaser. I'll Be Back
I picked suspect #2 for a different reason. lol But at least I got it right anyway
yay I got it right
It could have meant take me back with you!!!
I have not looked at the answer yet.
I think:
Suspect 2. He would not have known the time of the robbery.

I got it half right.
Good one!
Good one!
Piece of cake.
Easy but fun. Thanks for posting.
I like this one; it's a classic. In real life, though, police can't use that as their only evidence, because it might just be a slip of the tongue or a confuzzled brain. I myself mess up in speaking all the time.

Actors in real actions. Two armed thieves in nun outfits robbed a bank Sunday, jumping a teller counter and making off with an undisclosed quantity of cash. The thievery was shockingly similar to last year's critically applauded Ben Affleck movie, "The Town." I found this here: Ben Affleck movie inspires real-life robberies, newstype.com .
It was way too easy. Sorry but I was ready for a challenge and it was just obvious.
Easy as pie. Or cake. Or CANDY! Which means it was a great teaser, and it was easy too.
Because I LOVE candy.
easy
