Brain Teasers
Holding Hands
A man and woman run through a field holding hands. They bound toward the sunset, happy as can be. Suddenly, the man moves off of his straight line course and starts veering to his left. At the same time, the woman begins running off to her right.
They continue this for a full minute, but never let go of each others hands. How is this possible?

Hint
Think of the way they are facing. (Cardinal directions)Answer
They start off facing each other, with the woman facing east and the man west. They start running west (the woman runs backwards). Then when they veer off, they head south (to the woman's right and the man's left).Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer

This seems like it would be better in the logic section.
Does it even matter whether they're going east or west?? They can be running in any direction, just facing eachother, other than the man's left and the woman's right. And then, they just change direction! Got it! And totally loved it!
This is exactly the same as running the same
It is.
I got it right! I also thought of two other answers:
1) They were running VERY slowly for that minute
2) The veering off was so slight that it didn't make a difference over 1 minute. Like maybe .0000000001 degrees.
