no, one and a half hours. They last untill you need another one.

The pills last one hour. After that, they are not pills. The effect may well last an hour and a half, but not the pills.

I agree with mogmatt.. this really depends on your understanding of the english language...
actually michelle is right in the fact that if you ned to take one right away then you would need to take one half an hour later and then the last one another half an hour after that which would actually only be 1 hour. this is something i have a little experience with since i only have to take 15 different medications 45 different times through out the day, to help with the brain surgery i under went.
Either way, I've seen this question on IQ tests and other brain teaser sites and the answer remains the same.
the difference between taking the pills and the effect of the pills escaped my attention during the puzzle. maybe this should be in the trick section? good one anyway

Poor wording, the answer however is correct depending on how you understand it.
