I thought it was the only whole number exactly between 8,549,176,319 and 8,549,176,321, but go figure.
not everyone calls 0 zero, for some it is naught.
Its all of the numbers from 0-9 in alphabetical order.
Good one... I was going to submit this one, but I found it!
this was clever!
what about 8.549176320
Battery, that IS the number.
My question is, well, my comment is: it's not really "the only number in alphabetical order", because there are many, many numbers that can be arranged in alphabetical order! It must be, the only ten digit number, or probably, the LARGEST number, that's in alphabetical order, ya see what I'm sayin'? Aside from that, which I really think needs to be changed, its a good, hard teaser which I never would have got right.

Shawnee it says ALL the digits in alphabetical order. There are ten digits so the number should contain ten digits. Now there are some naughty people around but the correct mathematical term for the digit representing the integer preceeding one is zero.
Great teaser!
