good work and interesting trivia
Thank you. Glad you liked it for multiple reasons.
Nicely done as always.
Superb one! The B&O clue was great.
It is difficult to answer these culturallly biased teasers. I have no idea what B&O stands for. In my Monopoly set, the 4 Railroad stations are Fenchurch St Station, Marylebone Station, Kings Cross station and Liverpool St station. BTW I am not British!
My error for not realizing that many monopoly sets would have different names for their properties. I should have noted that it was named that way in the American version of Monopoly. Sorry for that, but glad you liked it, nonetheless.
I should add that, although I am sorry that my puzzle might be misleading due to USA bias of part of the puzzle, I feel that this should not necessarily deter from the puzzle. There are just as many puzzles that are on this site that are biased towards other countries and this, I feel, evens out the playing field with regards to solving ability.
Fishmed...you honestly make the best rebuses!
Thanks.
I agree with you Fishmed. Why should everyone have to "walk on eggshells" because of "cultural biases"? There are enuf teasers out there that it is really much too overly redundant to mention it every time something is not culturally neutral. BTW most users are in the US (about 69%)according to the stats for the site
NT!
The puzzle is good, but the hint is wrong. The Undergroiund Railroad was actually big before the Civil War, and declined in the 1850s due to a new federal fugitive slave law. Once the war started, slaves didn't need to get all the way to Canada, so the northern parts of the Underground Railroad were no longer needed (which was most of it).
Also, by 1861the Underground Railroad was hardly a big secret. The actual houses in the South where slaves could hide were secret, but everyone knew they existed.

I enjoyed this rebus.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser. I got it pretty quickly but still enjoyed it.
Glad you liked it,
