you are right about it being better for those countries, but having a lot of friends from those countries and talking to them (about politics) helped.
New Zealand too! ^_^ I guess it's a colonial thing.
I don't know but it is done so very frequently in India. I guess most of the countries ruled by Britain will have this term.
