I DON'T GET IT!

Shouldn't this be a "Trick" teaser?

Mints do strange things, so a pound of gold isn't always worth more than a half-pound of gold. Even if the coins were from the same country and the same year and minted at the same weight of gold per dollar, it is possible that so few twenties were minted they now have a numismatic value in excess of twice their gold content.
Somewhere between P.S. and p u
there is this that $10 worth of gold would make a very tiny coin.

Wrong category--no calculations required.
Coins do not have the value of the metal in them. In Australia we found this out by putting lots of nice silver in our 50 cent coins. When the price of silver went up the coins started to disappear because the value of the silver was more than 50 cents. Needless to say we now have new coins (Made of recycled tooth fillings I think).
