I liked it .. there's two answers (ha ha)
nice one!
never woulda guessed that.
HIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I didn't even read it right, i deffinetly need more coffee . Great teaser, keep them coming!
What did not belong was me trying to figure out the answer. It was pure logic and sharp...very good!!
I never would have gotten this one!
Good teaser.
Aha, zona..I see you also found another answer! The word tweezers is also different from the rest as it is the only word that uses the same vowel while the other words use more than one vowel in each word. Right, zona?
Still, this was a good teaser that I enjoyed solving!

Wow...I'm glad you all liked it.
I kept trying to get a teaser submitted and I'm glad I finally got one in. I'm still thinking of more and hope to come up with one soon!

Nice.
geez wut a teaser
I actually got it! Nicely done
I got it.
I went over it and over it, and still didn't get it.
Good one.
Good one.
My thought was that jeans didn't belong, because, unlike everything else, they're made of cloth or denim, which makes them different, but shoes are also different because they're made with leather! ...so there's more than one correct answer, but for different reasons!
SourDough actually thought "Handlebars", because the rest are used to go hiking with, hence my "pliers" are in my "Leatherman".
But your answer is much better than $ourDough's, by golly!
Three thumbs up!

that was awesome.
i guessed right lol
i guessed right lol
thought it was dumb and I also thiught it was handlebars
tweezers is also the only word in the list that can be typed exclusively by the left hand (using the proper hand positions and whatnot); thus, it does not fit because it does not use the right hand.
I like your answer better, but that's what I came up with.

I picked shoes because they had a left and right.
Really good teaser. I liked it and enjoyed solving it. Thanks for posting.
I guessed shoes for the wrong reason, but a lucky guess.
interesting, though I thought it was eyeglasses as it is the only word that starts with a vowel

Good one. "jeans" is the only one that doesn't end in "es" or "rs"...
Yours is better though.
Yours is better though.
That was hard! But i loved them! ;-)
I chose jeans because they are the only thing that you don't "use."
Once I got to handlebars and jeans, I realized I needed to change my answer! Good one!
Great logic teaser. I guessed eyeglasses, only one that started with a vowl. lol
Several times in the recent past there were a lot of complaints about using a list B of words which would help eliminate all the extra possiblities. (For example, another word beginning with a vowel could have been on that list and then everyone would know that eyeglasses was not the correct answer. ) In view of all the alternate answers I can see that there was definitely a need for that List B. Unless, of course, no one minds all the additional answers which also stimulates thinking and makes for interesting comments.
Cool, but hard...
I'm with isis. I thought it were eyeglasses.
Well, I guessed handlebars because I have never heard the phrase "a pair of handlebars". I have always heard and used the word handlebar (singular form). Once again, I learn something new everyday!
I said scissors as they are the only ones designed to be specifically right or left handed. Everything else is interchangeable/symmetric.
Handlebars makes more sense because I too have never heard the phrase "pair of handlebars".
Handlebars are referenced like this...
"Grab the handlebars."
Handlebars are referenced like this...
"Grab the handlebars."
that was funbut I would have to say that handlebars definately have a left and a right
oops read that wrong Nice one!!
Handlebars are usually not referenced as a pair of such and such like the others in the list. We just say handlebars never a pair of handlebars.
never heard of a pair of handlebars...unless there were two of them together for some reason. like railroad tracks.
I guessed handlebars, too
I guessed shoes, but did not know why. It just did not sound like it belonged.Tthat is silly though. Oh well.
I might get booted from Braingle.
But you won't forget I was here.
And when what I predicted comes true, you will have learned it TWICE !!
So ... (all together now) ...
How do you spell ...
L E A R N I N G R E I N F O R C E M E N T ?

Fun puzzle. Lots of possible answers. Thanks for posting.
Am I the only one who is missing the point of BB02's lengthy daily comments?
Good teaser, got it right.
I enjoyed this one, and in these types of puzzles I try to figure out a reason to disqualify each answer.
I, like others, have never heard the term "pair of handlebars" but have heard "set". This may be a regional thing from the submitter's local and not something in everyday use in other areas.
Happy Canada day to my fellow Canucks!

Fun, enjoyable and easy teaser; I got it right away as I recognized they were all pairs and that shoes did not fit because it was the only two piece pair listed.
Fun, easy and entertaining teaser; I got it very quickly just as I did three years ago.
Handlebars don't come in pairs, all others do?
