The peanut doesn't belong. A peanut is not a nut, it's a legume. It is also the only one that doesn't grow on trees, it grows underground.
damn you and your logic annie
i'll bring my peanut and macademia to my next picnic, then we'll see who's right

DANG! Annie beat me to it! I was just about to say the same thing (a peanut isn't a nut).
Good job, anyhow!
Good job, anyhow!
hmmm interesting
Good one ,although I agree with annie....but keep them coming, this one could be used in many diffrent ways. It is all in the way a person looks at it
You could also say that macadamia nut is the only one listed there who's name is not two syllables long...
i agree, the peanut is a legume and should not be classified with the rest of the nuts
I agree with the others a peanut is not a nut its a legium. but good stuff anyway make it better next time.
Why is everyone going on about the peanut, it isn't even offered as one of the choices? If it were, then yes, it would be the odd one since it is NOT a nut.
just so people know, the peanut *was* an original choice, but after all the comments i changed it to a hazelnut, just to try and stop the confusion
It seems that we all mostly caught that one about the peanut maybe the question was too ambiguous
Pretty neat. Didnt know that about peanuts. Very clever, good job, keep em coming
also the mac. was the only one that was two words the the word nut as part of the name, but not as part of the same word.
You learn something new everyday!!
figures
it could also be cause it is the only one that has 2 words
Annie was right about about the peanuts. I didn't know anythng about the origin.
I got this just by guessing! Good job! I liked it!!
Macadamia is the only one named after a person.
I liked it
Pecan is the only one that doesn't have "a" as it's second letter... sounds simple, but an obvious difference to the others...
Fun and entertaining teaser. I did not know macadamia nuts were native to Australia but I guessed it right anyway.
