Hated, you made me think Can't believe you got me on this one - it was easy.

I thought a grade like 1st grade, 2nd grade, and so on. I can't believe I didn't get this. Good job
Very nice.
very creative! that was fun!
just so you know....2 is a prime number.

Nice job. Made me think for a little while. More, please?
hurt my brain to look at it, first one i've seen like that. i liked it
A cool thinker. Good way to close out my day. Thanks.
I missed the NON...oops...got me all confused! Good Teaser!
Well that was cute and a little hard
Your teaser is WRONG!!!! The fith non-prime number starting at 2 is 9!!!!
2, 4, 6, 8 9
Not 10
Prime number is a number that can only be divided evenly by itself 9 is divisble by 3
2, 4, 6, 8 9
Not 10

Nice teaser. Two is also a prime no. and so the clue fits in. Liked the logic.
Sorry, I was WRONG !!!
you may have been wrong but i liked it anyway!very creative nice job!!
I had no clue.Prime number stumped me.
I'd tweak this with a better definition of "shun," which means to deliberately avoid or keep away from, more than to look down on.
I was also confused by the "starting with two" -- as if you were defining 2 as a non-prime.
I thought the answer was going to be "benign (something-or-other)."
How about:
part of self + natural base + abnormal + spasm = stupid
And this one is just dumb:
allotment of corn (2 words) + 1928 Presidential candidate Smith = defines some numbers and many arguments

Non-prime numbers are
4,6,8,9,10 ... so ten IS the fifth non-prime number!
I never did get it, however ... "low grade" led me to "primary" ... K-3, the low grades in schools ...
Then I tried the hint "title", and that really misled me. I was thinking of titles of PEOPLE. So - yup - it was way too much for me!
ThanxaMILLION for a great one. It's a FAVE!

Not bad. I need to read - saw 2 and prime and went to 11. In my defense you can't have a sequence of 5 non-prime numbers that starts with a prime. Saying "Greater than 2" works.
i didnt get the shun part..but figuring out the d 10 and school thing i got it!! very creative!
Got it pretty easy. After the fact, I read the "Hint" - didn't get that at all. What does "title" have to do with the answer?
The title is "school" and that's were you, or at least I, got detention. The starting with two also confused me, because two is a prime. Nice one though.
omg hated! congratualations! teaser of the day! wow...so yeah i didn't get it, i thought your hint should have been a little better...but overall great teaser!!
Whoa..and what was that?
I forgot that 2 was prime!!! And I teach?!?!?!?! I liked it!!!
I got it!!!!! But I agree that "shun" doesn't mean "to look down on". It seems that you could say fifth non-prime starting with one, two, three and it would still work, but I agree that starting at two made it seem like maybe you had it figured wrong and was confusing. Still a good teaser, I liked it! (I don't understand why with so many smart editors and others checking these that things like the def. of "shun" was not changed a little. Hmmm.....)
NICE TRY, BUT TOO EASY
The thing is, 1 is not a prime number. It is not prime nor composite. I don't know why, but they do things that way.
Wow. it was too broad for me... I'm so literal, lol. But it was very good! Thanks!
I agree with previous posts regarding the questionable use of the word shun.
It was found first entry on www.dictionary.com.
this was so fun i loved it!
I thought it was "Fines of Fire"
F + 9 + Scoff + Fire
I overlooked the equal sign
F + 9 + Scoff + Fire

this was good but you confused the issue with the comment about "two." Just saying the fifth non-prime number would have done it. thanks though - made me think!
I barley got, it that was a good one!!!!!
Also 2 is not a prime number!!!
Next time don't make such a hard one!!!
I take that back!!!! :
2 is a prime that was an awesome
Good Job!
That was really cute! Didn't get it until I read the hint!
Alternate Solution
Threaten and Humiliate
Low grade = 3rd grade = three
5th smallest nonPrime = ten
to look down upon = humiliate
thoughts ?

you may have ben wrong but it was still by far a good teaser...
Another rerun
What's wrong with reruns ? Not all of us have seen them, so they are new to us. And those of us experiencing senior moments have forgotten the ones we saw last year anyway. I loved it even though I didn't get the shun part. Keep them coming.
I love language teasers, as you can tell by my handle!
Fortunately, I got the answer without the hint, since when I looked after the fact, it would not have helped at all.

Sorry, meant to say thanks to the submitter.
Wow, the syntax on my 'fortunately' comment is AWFUL!
A very creatively thought-out teaser! Keep up the wonderful work. Doehead can't keep from looking at the dates...lol Everything in life is a repeat, but there always needs to be a way for a *J A* to run something down....lol Keep up the good work, Braingle!
I thought it was okay but not great.
whoa. i thought this would be easy. however, low grade (f) + eleven + despise = i dont know answer.
overall, great teasers.
overall, great teasers.
Yeah, but why start at 2? 1 is still non-prime. In fact, it is also non-composite.
Didn't get PRIME number, now I know what they are!! TX
I was going D E low grade.. 10W30 "oil".. frown...I got shun for "look down upon" or whatever
Got the old brain workin for sure. I was lookin' for a book TITLE from the "clue"! or MOVIE. Oh well,
Brain dead now (

Why did you put "starting at 2" in your clue? Just confusing.
I think you need a better use of the word shun. It isn't defined as you use it. As for the prime numbers, I liked that clue! Unfortunately, my pea brain skipped right over 10!
And what www.dictionary.com are you lookin at? I don't see that as a definition of shun. How about using an appropriate synonym, like "exclude"? Word puzzles can be fun, but are just frustrating when they are fraught with errors and ambiguities.
it took me a really long time.
the shun part was kinda out there.
i guess i just wasnt sure what kinda word i was looking for
but all in all, it was pretty good.

For those of you saying the part about non-prime numbers is wrong, 2 is NOT a prime number.
A non-prime number is a number with more than two factors (more than just one and itself) and 2 only has two factors. So, the five non-prime numbers after that wouild be 4, 6, 8, 9, and 10.
This was a good teaser, I liked it

low grade i thought of F, so i got fate, because i thought it included 2.
Not a clue Not even close So I think all of you who solved it are brilliant.

what does he mean starting at 2? 10 is the fifth non-prime number period. the comment threw me off.
Fun..."shun" took me a while until I realized what the "=" was for. I thought it was part of the answer, not another way of saying the answer. Then I got it. Well done.
Very nice job!!
