How Many Books Have I?
Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
I wrote a book.
In high-school, a test you probably took.
About a sister and brother,
but mainly about another.
Also included, Atticus Finch as the father,
He raised his kids, they were without mother.
Capote and I, we were friends,
I stayed with him through it, till the end.
My last name rhymes with the word knee,
and also the famous phrase "to be or not to be".
It's not who I am that I ask, and here's why.
The question is about how many published books have I?

A poet after my own heart. Good job for your first. Congratulations. I got the answer right, but it was just a guess as I did'nt know who wrote "To Kill A Mockingbird". And me an English Lit major, but I did know what the book was. Does that count?

A well written teaser about a book I have valued over the years. With each reading I enjoy Harper Lee more. Thanks for reminding me.
Great teaser. I didn't know Harper Lee only published one novel.
I know.....it made me sad
Hmmmm
Cool Iggy, I have no clue who Harper Lee is so I didn't get it... Keep writing more!
"To Kill a Mockingbird" is an American classic. Hope they're still reading it in schools! Thanks for this riddle.
A great teaser, and I got it, and also got it first!!!!
Good one. Enjoyed it.
Favorite line?
"Hey, Boo."
Too easy for me - TKAM just happens to be my favorite book of all time!
Thanks!
Jim

Well, I didn't get the answer. Of course I got everything else, but I had no idea that this was the only book published by ty the publisher. I never even knew that there was something unique like that about "To Kill a Monkingbird". Great teaser, well written, Thanks for posting.
I just focused on 'I wrote a book...' line. That's why I (luckily) got the answer.
BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO HARPEE LEE IS!
... at least, I learned something new.
BUT I DON'T KNOW WHO HARPEE LEE IS!

... and that one was very hard.
Great teaser. Thank goodness the task wasn't to get the author's name, because I couldn't remember her first name. I knew it was a common last name, but I could only come up with "Parker". But I knew that she, like Margaret Mitchell of "Gone with the Wind" fame, only published one novel.
As an avid reader, this was very easy for me.But a great question.
easy as you said in the question, "I wrote a book". and ive never even heard of the book or the author
well, good one
Atticus give it away for me
i am studying it now and going for it in O'level next year

This should be listed under trivia, not riddles.
THE great American novel, and the Harper Lee/Truman Capote back story is fascinating. Check it out people!
I got it right, but for the wrong reason. The first line said "I wrote a book", so I said one.
NICE!!
I found the answer on Wikipedia in about 10 seconds. Not very hard.
The Atticus Finch clue gave it away
Did someone just say they used wikipedia?.....that's completely besides the point of a brain teaser....USE YOUR BRAIN.
Only one, eh?
