Brain Teasers
Mr. Lewis
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Mr. Lewis is a remarkable man. He has done many things in his lifetime that most people can only dream of achieving. However, Mr. Lewis has a short term memory problem. He can only remember what he did, not when or where he did it.
The strange thing is, Mr. Lewis never writes anything he does down, yet if you went up to him and asked him a question about his accomplishments, he could give you the answer in a matter of seconds.
How is this possible with Mr. Lewis's condition and his act of not writing anything down?

I said he had a computer so he wasn't writing he was typing.
My answer was he could remember what he did therefore he could remember his accomplishments but just wouldn't be able to tell you when or where he accomplished them.
Yea peanut that's y i put a stranger could ask ANYTHING about him. So if they ask when or where he would be able to tell them.

I'm not the one to be critical or anything, but to me that was a little,in a sense, lame. I was expecting a better answer with the great story. Good try. Hope no offense was taken
Yes, I also thought that he had a computer...Good teaser though.
Mr. Lewis sounds a little Thomas Edison, who also had people recording nearly everything for him. Even his famous cat naps were recorded less some idea was born.
I failed to answer it right
My assistant gave me the answer.

I needed the hint... thanks! It was a fun teaser.
Supposedly true story. Henry Ford was accused of being unitelligent and as a test he invited some of his detractors into his office to give him an IQ test. Every time he was asked a question he would call through to one of his staff members and ask the same question to them, get the answer, and give it back to the person who asked, thus passing the IQ test.
I assumed Mr Lewis was like Mr Ford in that respect.
