Brain Teasers
The Groaners Continue to Groan
What words relative to freedom are hidden below?
Eliza, Leah, Mat, and Gerry Groaner are siblings. They love to groan.
Eliza and her friend Nicole walked into the kitchen to find Mat and Leah absorbed in The March of the Penguins, spoken by Morgan Freeman.
"Aw, look at the baby penguins!" Leah exclaimed. "They're belly flopping on just ice! Wouldn't that be awesome if we could do that?"
Gerry was doing a mad lib. Era, tea, and Granny Smith Apple were the nouns he chose. All of a sudden, a crash was heard outside.
Eliza turned to Nicole. "I TOLD Grandma not to take the auto! No! My mom is going to be so angry!" Fury soared through the Groaner children.
"What is going on?" Ms. Groaner peered out the window and saw as Grandma Groaner stumbled into the household. "Eliza, I told you to keep an eye on her! No sleepover for you! You can just forget about Jenny's fun shack! Leave a message for Jenny saying you can't come!" The color of Eliza's face drained from purple to blue to pale white. She was mad at Grandma, upset with herself for not being responsible, and sad that she let her mother down.
"I'm sorry," She apologized.
And the Groaners continue to groan.
