nicely done, I enjoyed this one.
Thanks Ade...nice to see you back again
Another good one Jazz. Really got a workout with this one. Keep them coming.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing!
I'm surprised there are so few comments at this point. I think these are hard. I only got one right and even that was a surprise. Thanks for a challenge!
great teaser! i only got 1..deluge/deluxe but it was a really great all 'round teaser! keep up the good work!
Fun - well done!
i thougt it was easy...even though i thought #1 and #2 could have used better clues...nice job
I only got one correct also
Shoulda taken more time, when I see the answers it makes sense.
Thanks Jazz

I have a problem with your last one (chevron) because it is not just a stripe. A chevron is a set of stripes that come to a point making an upside down "V". The rest of these were very good, I just didn't feel like the last one was very accurate.
I thought this was a good and challenging teaser. The last one threw me off too. There were so many other possibilities to use instead of Chevron--but maybe I'm missing something...
Well, I didn't get the first set, but this was an excellent teaser.
Thanks for a fun challenge this morning!

Regarding CHEVRON:
I wasn't even sure what a chevron was. I was able to solve the last set (that I felt was easiest, by the way) by using HIT. There aren't many synonyms for HIT... STRIKE is the most obvious and fit perfectly.
I looked it up though and you guys are correct: a chevron is a group of stripes, typically in a V shape like those on the sleeves of uniforms.

As usual you are right on the money, Jazz. Great quiz, even though I didn't get all of them.
Two words Ni ce!!
chevron is also an oil company that used stripes in there logo
2/4 ... pretty good for me. After 20 yrs enlisted military, chevron and stripe are synonymous without having to think about it. Starting with PFC it's one chevron or stripe, then more are added for corporal (2), Sgt (3), etc.
Another great teaser, Jazz. 2, 3 and 4 popped right into my head 1, however, had me banging that same head Thanks
Interesting teaser! I haven't ever tried to solve one of these before, so I enjoyed trying, even though I didn't get any...
#4 confused me. With chevron, I was thinking about Chevrolet and about the gas company...don't know why...
When I saw the answer to the second part of #4, I got confused because of baseball strikes, which are TOTALLY different than actually hitting the ball!

Thanks guys, I'm glad you enjoyed working on this teaser.
Excellent teaser
wow!
Boy Jazz, you made me work for this one. I agree, Wow!
Fun! Couldn't get the first one though...great teaser!
Another cool teaser. I really liked this one. I found it really easy, although the first one did give me a bit more of a struggle than the other ones. Great Job Jazz.
I did not have the time to work this one, but seems like a lot of people liked it!
Interesting that many found this difficult, and I didn't, getting all of them. But with other puzzles, I have great difficulty, and others don't seem to.
I agree on the word clues. They should be more ordinary for us, who are not as smart as most of you. I knew what pliant meant, but just could not think of another word for it. Sometimes though I have no idea what the word is. Thanks for considering it and also for posting.
Fun, entertaining and challenging teaser; I got them all fairly quickly.
This is a terrific teaser! Four seems to be a perfect number of puzzles to prevent it from being either too short or tedious. The clues are abstract enough to make it challenging. I was very impressed with the clue of Chevron for Stripe. Wonderful.
That one was really hard, but really good. I only got 1, so I'm a bit disappointed in myself, but oh well, I can't always be amazing!
