Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.Trick
A printer made ink spots all over pages 12, 16, 52, and 57 of our book, and we had to replace them. How many pages did we have to replace?
Answer
8. 11 is on the back of 12, so we're forced to remove both of them and so on.Hide Answer Show Answer

I figured it was either 8 because of the double-sided pages or all of them because the book had already been bound and pages couldn't be pulled.
I thought it would just be easier to replace the book
Easy... But Fun! Love 'em!
i tought 8 bcause if ink went on one page it would sink into the one before it
Pretty easy
I got it right, but you only change at most 4 pieces of paper. Depending on the binding method it might be as little as 2 (one doublesheet has 4 pages printed on it).
This also means the answer could have been 16.

Ummmmmmmmmm am I the only one who thought ink spots could have been typed letters when they printed a book
Very clever.
it still is four because even though it is 8 "pages" you only have 4 sheets of paper
I agree wth zeepuzzlemaster
they are the same sheet (likely)
they are the same sheet (likely)
It's true that binding method could make the answer 16 and it could also be 4 pieces of paper.
thats dumb. this is in the trick category, but there was nothing obvious. Trick means you're supposed to make it harder than it really is. The answer to that was harder than it should have been in this category.
But it's still one page..
I was gonna say 8 b/c of the double-sided thing, but I thought the trick would be 4 b/c only for sheets had to be reprinted ... It was almost a math question (or I outsmarted myself! ). Still fun, though.
Got it right!
I didn't get it right. I figured since it was a trick question I'd never get it right, so I gave up. Good job.
Easy! But nevertheless fun.
It really wasn't a trick at all....just logic....you should have made it so that the "ink spots" made by the printer were just words, so you didn't have to replace any pages.
