I am in front
I lead them all
They hear my whistle
They hear my call
So quick, so neat
They don't miss a beat
I am in front
I lead them all
This band of men
They heed my call
What am I?

Very interesting and fun, though it was easy.
SECOND PERSON TO COMMENT! YAY!!! good teaser, but kinda easy.
pretty easy
Ooo, hey, I got it right!
That waz easy!
Okay, nice poem, but here is the thing... This is WAY too straightforward to be a riddle. A riddle should be deceptive -- not just describing something transparently.
I said "a train," which is a much better answer, because the riddle SOUNDS LIKE it is describing some kind of human arrangement, but then the twist would be that they are train cars instead of people.
