Random Digit Generator
The following is an advertisement for a common item. The ad agency, however, is trying to entice buyers by making the item sound more impressive than it really is. Can you tell what is being sold here?
RANDOM DIGIT GENERATOR!
Today's multimillion-dollar computers need special programs to generate random numbers. But this GEOMETRICALLY DESIGNED device ingeniously bypasses computer technology to provide random numbers quickly and easily! Exciting? You bet! Batteries not included. Only $3.00.

Got it in one..but I liked it!
Easy Peasy. A good one though.
Normally when an add says batteries not included it needs batteries. Dice do not need batteries.

would a lotto machine work (you know the one that spits out the balls)...it's highly unlikely that it is three dollars only, but i am sure it runs on batteries or electricity
two things... the batteries thing is a bit throwing... and you should go shopping somewhere else cause those are some expensive dice.. but oh well... still good teaser ;)
i think that he put the batteries in there to throw more people off.... but remember: the batteries arent included, and these people are trying to get you to but their product. to rohddawg: i mean no offense, but they were *trying* to scam the people into thinking that they were buying something spectacular.
I thoght it could be a caculator
man, so many people so picky on the little things!! lol! I read the comments on the straw one too...
It's a good one... although this one was easy once I read the straw one...

got it at once, but i can see why it can throw some people off!! and are u buying solid diamond dice or something??! cuz damn thats an expensive die!
I was thinking of a coin. You could use head/tails to generate a binary sequence of 0's and 1's. That way, there is no limit to the size of random number you wish to generate. For example, HHTHT=11010, which is 26.
Nice one...but pretty easy.
Good effort but the overpriced dice and misleading part about the batteries cause me to say try again.
