Brain Teasers
Football and Ballet
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
There were 11 people on the Lake Sam football team. The coach decided that they should all take ballet to make them more flexible. He said that by next Thursday, they must all find a partner with a little bit of ballet experience and meet the team at Miss Sara's Dance School. That Thursday, all 11 players showed up with their partners, however, there were only 20 people there in all. How is this possible?
Hint
The twenty people do not include the coach and the teacher.Answer
Their was 1 girl on the team, and because she and another boy on the team had some ballet experience, they decided to go together. Thus, there would only be twenty people.Hide Hint Show Hint Hide Answer Show Answer

That was too easy but okay anyway
Good teaser - I said one of the players had experience so another player took him...
this is not tennis ....u dont play mixed in football....
Actually SRB there are lots of girls who play on boys teams; especially if they live in an area where there are not enough girls to make a separate team. When I was in high school, the quarterback on the Sr. Boys team was a girl.
There are spelling errors in this teaser (their/there).
Otherwise, fun teaser, thank you!

That was soooooooo easy!!!!!!!
Kind of a disappointing conclusion...
boys do ballet. They may have paired up. But it says each player must find a partner who has ballet experience. The experienced dancer has an inexperienced partner. That does not fit the coach's instructions.
One of the partners (boy or girl) may have had some experience. Regardless, the coach still wants them to take ballet to make them even better than before.

Another option:
The 11 people consist of the coach and ten players. So 10 paired up = 10x2= 20
That's what I came up with.
