Never Only Work One Way
I never only work one way,
Despite what you normally think.
I came in many shapes and sizes,
And often sit over a sink.
You see me almost everywhere,
Although you may not know.
When you see your reflection
You know it's what I also show.
So tell me now, do you know?
What am I? Can you see?
Read through these very simple clues
And soon you will find me.

Answer
A mirror!Line 1: There is no such thing as a one-way mirror!
Line 2: Normally, we use mirrors that APPEAR to be one-way, so we tend to think of them as one-way.
Line 3: You see mirrors wherever there is glass - all glass is a mirror. It only depends on the amount of light in the space on each side as to how strong the mirror is. Imagine a house at night, you can't see out, can you!
Line 4: Regular mirrors are often over sinks in bathrooms.
Line 5+6: Giveaway lines! You see your reflection in a mirror.

"When you see your reflection" pretty much gives it away... otherwise good.
Thanks - Yeah, i know!
That was easy but enjoyable. A perfect combo
Much too easy. It sort of spoiled the enjoyment for me. Sorry.
It was pretty easy to figure out...
I was thinking faucet at first, but then hit the "give away line", as you called it.
Though the teaser was easy I really enjoyed the discussion of mirrors. I always thought there are actual "one way mirrors", but that does not really make sense, does it?
The accepted term "one way mirror" implies you see a reflection from one side, but can see through from the other side. I'd say that is a "one way window". There can be a "two way window", where you see through from both sides. I don't think there can be a "two way mirror", that reflects from both sides unless you essentially stick two mirrors back to back.
Perhaps by nature, all mirrors are "one way".
I had more fun thinking about this teaser than I would have expected. Thanks chutz42!

Thanks for the comment! That's really got me thinking for the morning for sure. Looking back on these riddles I've made, I cringe a little at myself (I was only 15 at the time of posting them and just really loved making rhymes) I'm glad you enjoyed it
