Mysterious Plot
Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.Riddle
If I am left undisturbed
My purpose will not be served
A board, a chute, and ladder
Not the heart of the matter
Once you've had your fill with me
An empty plot I may be
What am I?
My purpose will not be served
A board, a chute, and ladder
Not the heart of the matter
Once you've had your fill with me
An empty plot I may be
What am I?
Answer
a swimming poollines 1-2: If one doesn't break the surface of the water, then the swimming pool is not being used.
lines 3-4: A diving board, a chute (slide), and a ladder are elements that may come with a pool, but are not the pool itself.
lines 5-6: Eventually, if one gets tired of their pool, they may decide to empty it of its water (and not refill it).

Nice riddle
Very nice ThinksForFun. I struggled with this and did not get it. I was close, going with a playground. My board was a teeter totter, chute and ladder a slide. I figured the swing set was the real heart of any playground. Once all the kids left, it could be an empty plot. I considered a pool, but couldn't get lines 5-6 to fit.
I did not think of "getting your fill" referencing filling in the pool.
Another good riddle that I had fun pondering! Thanks!

Thanks for your comments. Actually, "had your fill" means you are "fed up" (tired) with your pool, so you empty it and it becomes "an empty plot".

I didn't get this one. I was thinking along the lines of a vegetable garden, but line 3 didn't work with that idea. This was a very good riddle, kept me thinking a long time.
Thanks Coolnana! Glad you liked it.
