Get back on the horse. Those words are forever etched in my mind after being told that when I was about 10 and was thrown from a cantering horse at horse camp.
I was told to get up, go get the horse and get back on it. I was then expected to continue with the run through the obstacles.
That was in the 80s, how times have changed. No one made a big deal about getting hurt. "Is anything broken?" and "Are you bleeding" were really the only questions we were asked. If the answers were no, we were expected to get back in the game.
"Walk it off" "Suck it up" "Be a Man" and "Play Through the Pain" were commonly heard from parents, coaches, and teammates.
No one wanted to be thought of as a wuss or a sissy.
Getting back on the horse, whether literally or figuratively, was the only option

Thanks for your comment, HABS. I hope your past experience did not taint your view of this teaser. Sorry if this brought back a traumatizing memory.
HABS ...
"horse camp" ... ???? .... really ?? ..... (I had to laugh at that one)
Also, this teaser appears to violate two of the "Rebus rules":
"spelling a word backwards to show 'back'"
"putting a word atop another word to show 'on'"
But I guess the Eds are free to make exceptions if it's to their liking !!

Yes, horse camp or rather horseback riding camp. Along with all the usual camp activities, we got 2 hours of horseback riding every day.
I also went to softball camp and soccer camp to name just a couple.

I spent a summer at a National Science Foundation math camp. I really needed to get out more.
This is a nice almost standard rebus. It has the synonym rebus extension. It was clever, quick and fun.
