We have several observations and questions about this one (and others similar that have been recently submitted by Jake).
01. We are asked to supply, as a Rebus, a word or phrase that this graphic represents yet the Editors specify - in their Rebus 'rules' - that phrases ONLY will be allowed as Rebuses.
02. Do these submittals by Jake go through the unapproved teaser review of which we are asked to make comments/judgements? We have not seen them there
03. This submittal, 'Flying High' , appears to be incredibly simple. "Flock" is spelt out plainly and the graphics are clearly "birds". A couple of Rebuses submitted by us were trashed by the Editors for being 'answered' in the body of the submittal with the Editorial comment that there was nothing here to be 'solved'. Why the special treatment for Jake?
04. (somewhat related to 02 above also) Do these submittals by Jake become - as do other submittals - regularly ordered in the 'queue'? If so, the numbers given when approved do not appear to bear this out. Does Jake (and perhaps others) have a 'special' queue ... or perhaps none at all? So, does the 'queue' as described in the FAQs actually turn out to be a 'faux queue'*?
Editors: Please answer these questions here, to be read by the membership.
Thank you. LGM & BB02 (extant Bunny-Babes)
*pronounce 'faux queue' aloud ........... HILARIOIUS ... eh, whot?

Easy teasy. Not my favorite.
Jay(e), I personally have no objection to Jake doing whatever he wishes with his site. He can put his teasers onto the list at will. In order to open the site to outside submissions, a peer review mechanism has been put in place. I've had teasers rejected or modified by the eds, and that is their job.
This is my opinion. I'm not castigating anyone.
