Nice Rebus.
How long was it 'en queue'? And any idea why it didn't turn up in 'Review Teasers'?
I'll understand if you don't wish to respond and tell me.

Argh, you got me to break my "don't comment on any more rebus" rule.
Very nice. All of my guesses had "industrial" at the end, so I was not getting it. Reading the hint gave it to me right away. I don't know why.
What I just can't figure out is why people may have been thinking of cereal? That has me baffled, curious and amused!

D'OH! I just noticed the title.
Jaye, I saw this in the Review Teasers queue.
You seem preoccupied with the idea that teasers should be processed only in the order submitted. If that were the case, then many teasers would be delayed needlessly whenever editors needed extra time to process a more complicated teaser (such as for a logic grid). It seems quite reasonable for teasers that require very little editing work to be processed faster.

Tilley ....
Maybe you should be a bit more 'preoccupied' with doing some research on the meaning of 'queue'.
Of course, there are myriad ways to 'queue' something ('first in first out', 'last in first out', 'by height left to right', 'by age youngest first', 'medical triage', etc., etc., etc., etc., etc.).
Without such specification, however, by FAR the most common usage is 'line up and be taken in order of appearance in the line'. Braingle does not have such specs and has refused my inquiries on the matter*. I'd have no quarrel with the need to spend more (or less) time differentially with submittals but the FAQs imply otherwise.
Also a bit of 'preoccupation' on your part would be helpful for us (17 thus far in my growing petition) to get Jake and the Eds to clarify such usage and rules.
Thank you for the opportunity to clarify this for you.

*maybe that's because I once called it a 'faux queue' (pronounce it aloud ... HILARIOUS !!!)
