Brain Teasers
Long Distance Murder
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
Nasty Norris was responsible for Simple Stevie's death. He did not kill him in person. He hadn't even seen him since 10 years before. He sent the weapon through the post with a birthday card.
Stevie died exactly as Norris had planned.
The card touched the weapon, but the card never reached its destination.
How did Norris do it?

How did Norris do it?
Answer
He sent a card with a stamped addressed envelope, asking Stevie to sign it and send it on. He had mixed poison in with the glue on the envelope, so when Stevie licked it he was poisoned.Hide Answer Show Answer

good one, I was thinking it was a bomb that blew up before he ever got the card.
good teaser, but I would have lived, I hate the taste of envelopes so I just tuck them in!!!
oooh... when I saw the word tuck I thought it said something else....
lick it? ugh...use a moist sponge. that's what all the post offices have here. we never lick the thing. that is really, really wierd.
Weird or not, it's considered the conventional way to address stamps, albeit perhaps not en masse.
that was good but didn't even have a clue what it was
we don't even have envelopes that can be licked anymore - they're all pre-stuck, you just push the two edges together and they stick
apart from that it was a good teaser (albeit somewhat confusingly written)

well done Here in the US, you can still get enevolpes that has to be licked. I think they cost less than the self stick ones.
Here, in the 21st century we don't even write letters or use envelopes - we just send Emails
BTW good one 'bell (though I doubt you will ever read this)
