August 13th!!! kool-aid-lime's birthday!! Since I live in the state, in fact about 60 miles from the city where it was invented, Kool-Aid, I mean, and lime is a favorite of mine, I am just overly curious at how she arrived at her name? She has been a member of Braingle since June 2, 2006, and she has a unique byline, a quote from Breaking Benjamin: Nothing could be worse, all these imaginary friends. Kool-a-l lists her occupation as MLT which could be a medical laboratory tech or another thing I pulled up in Google - Management Leadership for Tomorrow. Which ever, Kool-Aid-lime lists her interests as music, books, crafts and movies - sounds like someone right down my alley. Happy Birthday. My fellow Braingle members and I are wishing you a day filled with happy moments, simple pleasures, and priceless memories.

"Dad, why is that Monster Mash enticing mild dance amidst a wolfman?" is the byline of Logical Roger, our birthday guy for today, August 18th. I'm sorry Roger, but this statement doesn't seem real logical to me. But of course when you consider that your location is in the future, that you are interested in being cloned and you intend to be the President of the U.S. (Scotland) maybe it does all make sense. My Olympics here in Rio are officially over. It is a tough pill to swallow that I will not take home a medal for my country. However I did everything I could to prepare and be 100% ready when I needed to be and I am happy with that. I gave it everything. I have no regrets about the sacrifices I made to get to my second Olympic games. It was a huge honor to compete next to my amazing teammates and represent our country. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity. I couldn't have done it without the support of my amazing wife, family, coach, teammates, trainers, friends and fans. All this support truly means the world to me. We still have some more medal chances so I can't wait to cheer on my teammates the rest of the games. I love you guys! "

Well yesterday Braingle had two young ladies celebrating their birthdays, but this old girl couldn't get it all together. Not wanting them to go with out birthday wishes, I did a short one, promising to catch it up today, so that is what I have done. Now empy is an Empress In Her Own Little World and is interested in Galactic Domination. And when I saw bbgirl I honestly thought it was someone who loved basket or maybe baseball. After looking at her wiki I'm not so sure any more. Either way, ladies, your birthday is the perfect time to wish you nothing less than favorite memories, plans and dreams that bring you happiness.

Well folks, September is upon us. And with September we have a whole new group of birthday celebrants. I try to make sure we recognize each and every one, but as I have said before, no one should ever have to spend their birthday alone. I attempt to extend birthday wishes to each of our members as the time comes. However, should I miss someone, please bring it to my attention, because I never want anyone to spend a lonely birthday. That is what drives me to attempt this. Also just because I do my little column for the celebrant doesn't mean you can't chime in and extend your wishes also. Please, feel free.

OK, September 1st starts off with Jess-ey, a young lady from Illinois. She has been a Braingle member since 8/15/14, so she has been with us for a while. Her occupation is breathing - I know that feeling. And Jess-ey has a very important statement for her byline: be kind to everything that lives. I have to agree with that totally.

This being said Jess-ey. I must apologize again my mind is willing, but my body just isn't up to things today. Happy Birthday, young lady, and I promise I will do the old news, music old news and people who share your day, tomorrow. Think of it as getting to celebrate twice without adding another year. Sorry. Hope you are having a great day.

As I am still having problems with Windows 10 and my health I missed coollllkid's birthday on the 10th. And it has taken me much longer than I like to gather this birthday wish together. This truly was my own fault as I did not check my notes yesterday. Coollllkid is from Canada and has been a Brangle member since March 11, 2007. His byline sort of tells it like it is: "Really miss the community here but it seems like it's all just gone away." Unfortunately, coollllkid, I have a feeling we all sort of feel that way. But the best way to stop that feeling is to keep coming back all the time, all of us. His wiki has another short message for all of us to consider. His occupation is "Lord English" and his interests are believing in the heart of cards and humanity from Canada. May this Birthday, be just the beginning, of a year filled with the happiest of memories, wonderful moments, and dreams come true.

Have you missed me? I know I have missed all of you. It seems I almost made it six months before my health gave way and I had to spend 14 days in our local hospital. I am home now, but it is going to be a slow recovery. I regret that I missed some of the September birthdays, however, I found myself each morning, after thanking the Lord for one more day, saying Happy Birthday to my Braingle people.

So today I hope to recognize all the birthdays that passed in September that I was unable to acknowledge at the time.

4 WHEELS, "Hello, My name is 4wheels and I am a huge bibliophile. No matter when, how, or where you look. I'll always have a wonderful book." September 20 was her birthday and although she has not been on site for a while I still want to wish her a belated Happy Birthday.

FreddyPharkas, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to use a rod, and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day. Teach him to use the net and he will sit at his computer on Braingle all day." Freddy's birthday was September 22. He is a pharmacist from Yorkshire, UK, and an old friend.

Steve1973 celebrated his birthday on September 25th. Steve seems to enjoy debating in our forums. I think maybe our Presidential candidates could learn something from his style. Happy Birthday, Steve.

Radioguy, " I'll keelhaul the lot o' ye, all the stubborn bilge rats that ye are! Such terrors o' the high seas I got fer a crew!" Sounds a wee bit like Jack Sparrow. In fact Radioguy's location is " on a ship with black sails". I do hope my old friend celebrated on September 26 by finding the treasure at the end of the map.

Jayo, "Life is short, enjoy it, the big party doesn't happen until afterwards." My werewolf playing friend from Dublin, Jayo's birthday was September 27th. Take a look at Jayo's wiki. Am not sure his intent, but it is an interesting read. Happy Birthday old friend.

OK, I think that wraps up the September birthdays I missed. I have sought out the October birthdays and have started my lists. When I first got home from the hospital I took a quick glance to assemble the October birthdays and I vaguely recall an early October birthday. However I neglected to mark it so if that was your birthday between October 1st and October 6th, please PM me so I can send out a Happy Birthday to you.

Thank you for your kind words, pierce12. I have enjoyed doing this part of Braingle. I have been with Braingle for almost eleven years now. There are still a fine bunch of the original Braingle family and the nice thing about it we are a family site so enjoy having new members all the time. And as the saying goes, you are just a friend I haven't met yet. Wishing you a great day.

First of all, my apology to dalfamnest who celebrated his birthday yesterday, October 16th. I had set up his birthday wishes and thought I had everything running in order. All of a sudden I got hit by a pop up and it wiped most of my celebratory message out. I was so frustrated and I decided Monday had to be a better day if I started with a fresh mind, hoping dalfamnest would be so kind as to understand.

dalfamnest is a math teacher from New Zealand. I regret that where I get my newsy news from has very little about New Zealand. As I have been redoing this today, I have had a thought since so many of us seem to be past our school years, that maybe it would be nice if I worked up a question and answer system, or since we don't have the HOT SEAT area where people were interviewed for a month - maybe it would be a good place for us to learn about where people live as I am very well aware that I know very little about New Zealand and would like to. OK, dalfamnest has been a member of Braingle since July 16, 2009, so he has been hanging around this site for 7 years. Sure are glad to have you, Sir. On your special day, may everything that you hope for and everything that you dream of come true. Happy Birthday.

Thank you Snappy. It makes my day to know people are enjoying the Birthday Box. Just the thought of someone spending their birthday alone motivated my desire to try to reach out to the birthday people. Sometimes my health interferes and then I try to just do a joint recognition, and sometimes I slip up and find the darn computer makes the same mistakes I do, so I have to be a day or two late with the wishes. But I will try my best to extend to everyone a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY wish and hug.
