Thanks so much Froggygg. I am actually doing fairly well. Tonight I am tired and am getting ready for bed. Yesterday I saw my regular doctor and he was so pleased with the outcome. Since the specialist had done my cardioversion clear back in January two years ago my heart rate has been beating well below 50 beats a minute a I just assumed that that was supposed to be and for my benefit. But when it started dropping to below 40, I still basically thought that was what it was supposed to be. And my regular doctor had never seen it do that. But my Home Health nurse had seen it a couple times. This time she got on the horn immediately and called my doctor - he wanted me right up in his office - he did an EKG and called my cardiologist, who immediately wanted me in his hospital in Kearney. I still wasn't concerned as it didn't seem any different to me. I had gone into bradycardia and my cardio doctor wanted me at his place because he didn't think I would last until morning. Well I did but by 8 AM I was in the surgical suite, under the knife. 36 hours later I was back home.

Hindsight is always better than foresight. Turns out some of the bouts I had with pneumonia was nothing but my heart's inability to pump the blood back out into my system. Not enough blood was getting to my brain so I felt like I was getting althymers (sp). My legs would swell up so huge that the skin would break and cause oozing sores. My doctor today said for me to turn my intake of oxygen down to 1 and see how it goes. I have been oxygen needy 24-7 for over 12 years.. I know this all new to my body, but to me it feels like a miracle - I am alert, I shopped for two hours yesterday by myself and felt great afterward. Helped put up the Christmas tree today and am looking forward to what the season has to bring. Don't even mind the skiff of snow we got - could do without the cold, cold weather however.

Tomorrow I see my pulmonologist and get all the reports to him so we can make the decision - Home Health Care or Pulmonary Rehab again. Can't do both with my system of Medicare And with that, I want to thank everyone for their concern and well wishes. Am hoping and praying they have finally found the answer. I do have faith in my doctors and that is half the battle. I need to sign off and get to bed. Am even sleeping better now. Hugs, Grayma V

Hi All! I am glad to pop in here and see so many familiar peeps chatting away. I miss being on here, but as you can imagine, I don't get a lot of time to peruse the chat rooms, so I am often on here for the daily teaser and not much more.

Grayma V, I was worried to read about your health issues late in 2016, but am glad you are improving and are still on here. I looked into the birthday page and am loving the tributes you are sending people. They are so thoughtful!

Froggy, hi neighbor! Snow, RGW, Logical, Snappy, bluegrasss - I'm happy to "see" you guys too. I have missed my on-line talks. I think my phone may now be more capable, so I am going to try and visit from home since my computer stays at work most of the time.

I just went and caught up on a few discussions. I wish I had been here for the Clinton vs. Trump talks. Owning a Tea Bar has allowed me to overhear and even participate in a lot of discussions on the subject. A lot of it leaves me chuckling, although my mother and my husband couldn't be further opposite and that tends to leave me in the middle. LOL

The tea bar continues to do well. I now have employees! I never in a zillion years thought I would be a boss, but I am. Luckily, they are mostly kids of friends and are all pretty easy-going with my learning curve. LOL

Tonja, so good to hear from you and glad your business is doing well! Having people working with you that you have a relationship with in any degree does help. I recently stopped being self-employed as an Electrical contractor due to my knees and such... though I called it hanging up my tools, it is not necessarily retirement. I decided to take time off to do a couple honey-do projects. Our complete kitchen remodel with newly painted cabinets, a new island and new hardwood floor through three rooms is almost complete. Working on this since Christmas and I have told my wife I am done with painting for a while!!!! I suspect by March, I will try and find something to keep me off a larger honey-do list!

Anyway, I had employees for about 3 years... all were family members. I sort of hated to tell my older brother that I decided to stop using employees... but because he was my older brother by 7 years... he was just a bit more out of shape than me. When a job came up with crawling under the house or through the attic, I had to do it. He couldn't navigate the crawl. I laughed and wondered why I had an employee who couldn't do the dirty work I didn't want to do. Then on top of that was the state insurance requirements and the tax paperwork. It was time to end the government problems that were added to my other headaches.

In your case, you need employees... you can't be at the tea bar all the time. Good luck!

Tonja glad to see you stop by. Sad to see no free samples, but that is life. Good luck with the Tea Room.

Great to hear from you tonja and happy to hear your tea bar is doing well! I must try to grab Sgt and take a little road trip and stop by sometime to have a nice cup of tea and visit with a good buddy.

Randy, I bet your kitchen is going to look fantastic and your wife will love it. Would love to see pics of the completed redo!

First, Tonja... when the time comes that we actually take some time to travel and see our country again; I sure hope we are allowed to come your way...

Second, Froggy, funny, I had a contractor friend of mine ask the same thing when I told her what we were doing. I don't mind passing along our start and finish pictures. Some may like the before pictures than the after... but then I suspect they might still be living in the 80's. I made the main step today to build the island... spent most of the day to cut 3 sections/pieces of wood that makes up the basic island. Got the base completed, the floor of the cabinet and the back wall completed. I really felt it was the main pieces that formulate the entire unit. After finishing these cuts, I was able to draw up the formal completion plans of the island with all of the cutting dimensions required.

My only hold back for the next couple days is the rain we will get. I feel like a wicked witch from the Wizard of Oz who will melt in the rain... so I will wait until it over to complete! However, I will try and pass along our remodel pictures when completed.

So wonderful to see all the chit=chat going on in here. Tonja, how wonderful to hear from you and thanks for your kind words. Froggy, and Randy, I have been concerned with all the rain and the dam that is overflowing, wondering if you folks were getting more than your feet wet. And it doesn't sound like the wet weather if over for you yet.

We are probably going to lose a bunch of trees, bushes, etc. here in Nebraska because the warm weather will bring the sap up in things and then we will have a cold weather snap again. It was 70 degrees here on Valentine's Day. Sadly I have not been able to enjoy the beautiful sunshine and warmth as I am still spending a lot of time in bed, trying to get my leg to heal without the pain. I caught myself thankfully just before I got hooked on my darned pain meds. Because of my allergies there is only one pain med I can take and it is highly addictive, it has pulled me under twice and I just made up my mind this time I wouldn't let it happen again. Only other pain killer I can take is morphine and I won't take that at home, so instead I have just played lazy and laid around - which has created a birthdayless February. Am so sorry folks.

Randy, how I wish someone would come in and redecorate the kitchen where I live. My daughter asked the landlord if she could do some redecorating in the kitchen - old island and cupboards and sink cabinet that are all metal, big single sink - you have to have a dishpan in it to rinse dishes when you wash them. Landlord said, oh we had just redecorated it when we started renting it out. Which was about 30 years ago. And when we have one of our gulley washer rains we have found there is a crack in the foundation that allows water to leak through the concrete in the stair well. Yes there are working eave troughs, but eyeing the house and surrounding yard you can see this whole corner of the house is sinking. Needless to say there is a rental house shortage in this town. And it will get worse as our big business in town is adding on with the promise of 1,000 new jobs - Don't know where we are going to put them all, but the expansion will be wonderful. And we do have employees coming from a 150 mile radius so maybe we will be ok.

Glad your Tea Bar is going well. I have two daughters who are having the experience of being "the boss" and all it entails. And my one granddaughter just got bumped up to shift manager with 15 employees under her. She's young and little and some of the good ole boys that have been there for some time sort of look at her like "You are telling me to what?" But she is shooting for managership, learning the business from the bottom up - now this is without college - this is good old experience - learning to work with people, serving people. She has a beautiful smile which can win just about anyone over, she just has to remember she is boss, don't try to be their friend, but give the employee respect and be willing to listen and make any necessary changes with a smile. OK, enough Grayma V. Love you all and best get back in bed. Unfortunately my daughter took a fall this morning, almost like mine. But she wiped her knee off and manage to get back up and is going under her own power with a cane - thought for a while we were going to have to invest in another cane - I still can't get far without mine, unless I have my walker.

Love and Hugs to all. Just so you all understand, I can't seem to get Brangle up on my kindle - can do some typing on the other social site I'm on, but not this dear home.
